I have to say the Maxi-glide flat iron thing works the best for my daughters hair(she has very thick bi-racial hair) ...I was truly amazed at the results...you hit the steam button and the hair even instantly softens...they sell products to use with the maxi -glide for "optimum results" but I have never used any of them...Keep in mind I have tried every bottle, tube, spray I could find in the past...none of them working at all until my mother got this for my daughter for her birthday....it was expensive unfortunatley(around 100.00) but I would pay the money if this one ever broke because it works so well...Good luck to you.

get an Ogalve (think I spelt it right) its only bout 5$ n put it on like it tells u too..the only difference is, where it says to soak the rollers; ull take a comb after u soak ur hair with the solution, u will run the comb thru ur hair so its straight, leave the solution on ur hair for the time it states...n keep following the steps....the only difference is the combing the hair straight part...I used it ,, it works, n doesnt cost much
