I used to have straight/wavy hair when I was a kid. When I hit puberty, it got curlier and curlier, to the point where it became really nappy in some places. I'm wondering if it will calm down at all later on? I'm 18 and male.
Will my hair straighten out again?
Now that you're 18, no. But you could go to a parlor and permanently straighten it. But when the new hair grows out, the roots will be curly so it might look weird.
Anyway, my story: I had really wavy hair as kid. Suddenly, I think at 7, my hair become amazingly straight. Now, I am 17, and it is kinda wavy but beautiful, nevertheless.
Will my hair straighten out again?
I hate to tell you this but your best bet is to learn to live with it. It is very doubtful that your hair will return to what it was before puberty.
I've been a licensed cosmetologist for thirty years.
Hope this helps.

Hair changes roughly every 7 years.
This is when the growth cycle starts all over again.
I used to have pin straight hair and then it changed to wavy and frizzy, and now it's curly.
