It's like the iron kills my volume.. :( is there anything anyone would suggest that I do to keep it volumized AFTER it's straightened?? Whatever I should do or whatever products I should put in it?? any suggestions would be helpful!! thanks!!

it's gonna be flat if you dont use a blow dryer. thats why its called a flat iron lol. i think if you iron it to straighten it, blow dry it after wards with your head upside down, or blow dry just the roots and shape it how you like

Blow dry your hair upside down. Don't flip your hair up-right untill it's fully dry. My hairdresser had this soft brissle brush (almost looked like something you'd comb a dog or a horse tail with ha ha!) and she pulled the hair up from the crown of the head and teased the roots, and used the soft bristles to smooth it back down. The more product you use, the more it will weigh your hair down.

Well, after you straighten your hair, use a comb or brush and use it to tease your hair towards the roots. I usually do it down a few layers of my hair, leaving my top layer alone. Then, spay it with an extra hold aerosol hair spray, spraying each layer by itself. Then spray it all over. This usually works for me, hope this helps.
