i had 2 years ago . i got this process called japanese hair straightening. my experience with it was good acutally. it took 8 hours %26amp; what they did was wash my hair, shampoo, condition, add the "hair straightening" stuff, blow dyred %26amp; flat ironed my hair, did it all over again about .. 4 times ? the hair straightening stuff had to sit in for a while , thats why it took soo long . what it did was that when they put that stuff in, the ironed it to "bake" in the protein so it was like a REALLY deep condtioning treatment at the same time. the process was also considered to be a "thermal reconditioning" cuz it made the condtion of my hair better. it was pricey - $500 . but STUPID me, it was my first time with any of those "chemical" stuff that i washed my hair THE NEXT day so , it didnt last long . $500 bucks down the drain . it was suppose to last till it grew out . my hair was 1000 times healthier though and SUPER straight. =] now i flat iron it everyday . hehehe . i wish i didnt wash it soo soon though *sigh .

like a perm yes except it was hard for it to grow and you had to get it every month. but it was really straight without flatting it or anything

I've had it done. i think its expensive and it can dry your hair out badly, but its easier and faster to straighten :D

A co-worker of mine did when she used to model. It worked fine when she was young, but when she got older, her hair line began to move. Now her hairhairline is messedup %26amp; she got a weave.

But then again, that was like ten years ago. things may have changed now.

it will fry your hair. just go buy a really good straightener ( flat iron ) they are the best. you wouldn't need to spend over thirty either jsut make sure its ceramic :)

Damage, hair lost. Pros, if it is well done and your hair is healthy it means you have the ability to wear your hair more ways.
