Right - I straighten my hair EVERY day and wash it every 2-3 days. I need to get moisture back into

Please do not bother saying 'stop straightening your hair' don't bother - I will not, looking good with slightly dry hair is better than looking awful with good condition hair- and i dry it with a hairdryer every time i wash it. Although i do try to use a cool setting it takes forever to dry my hair use i use a warm setting as opposed to hot as i'm usually in a rush to get ready. My hair is naturally brown but is currently light sandy blonde and is fine-medium (I'm scottish and white) not course. I really need some good tips to help get some moisture back into it as i feel since i went blonde and as i use straighteners every day its gotten drier. I'm considering getting it chemically straightened as my hair -while not curly not wavy- has a slight curl to it so when i dry it I seem to take ages straightening it and wondered whether it is better in the long run to get it straightened chemically or just keep straightening it every day? Sorry this is sooo long :( Thanks everyone xXx

you will see the consequences. just use more conditioner, and shampoo. yes, get it chemically straightened, and dont use the products they give you because it just gets it curlier so you have to go in and get it straightened more often.

every once in a while do a hot oil treatment and your hair will stay moisturized. you can fin d hot oil in wal mart hair aisle its a little tube of oil that you sit in a cup of hot water for a while then put it in your hair with a shower cap over top leave the shower cap on for about 5 minutes and washh your hair regular. it should help

yes, unfortunately, straightening your hair will even break your hair eventually.. why don't you blow it straight and for conditioning, try leaving in a conditioner overnight and in the shower, put conditioner in and then shampoo, then put conditioner in again. also use the leave in spray conditioner

get a moisturizing shampoo.

DONT USE ANY CHEMICALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If your hair is already dry chemicals will make it way worse. And as for shampoo and conditioner try something made for dry hair like sunsilk hydra tlc.

Ok, I got my hair chemically straightened, I got good comments on my hair, I loved how it looked, it made me feel good and it felt great. But it's WAY too expensive, it lasts until your hair grows and you lose you touch. Chemically straightening DOES dry hair, however, especially if dyed.

I straighten my hair every few days, and I wash just about every day. I alternate the shampoos and conditioners I use, to keep my hair stay healthy. Also, I use various conditioning sprays while drying my hair (I suggest this product http://www.ulta.com/control/product/~pro... as well as this one http://www.walgreens.com/store/product.j... ). Also, I start with the hot setting on my dryer to get it to dry faster and it also sets it better then I use the cold setting afterwards and it gives it a softer feel. Also, using the straightening iron dries out your hair so, I advise using it less like, 3-5 times a week and start using a straightening comb (like these ones here http://www.become.com/shop?q=straighteni... ) more often.

Buena suerte

u will need good conditioners and shampoos. i hate to tell u somethin u already know, but i am soooo sorry, but the straighten is what is dryin out your hair, its almost like going to the beauty salon everyday and have them curl and heat the hair everyday!!!! that is definitely what is damaging your hair from root to tip. i say go with the chemical relaxer but u will have to keep it oiled and stay away from the heat because the re;axers make the haor fragile and u dont want to wake up wit ya hair in the bed and not attached to ya head

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed %26amp; remove all frizz I promise,..... and it will be super shiny!!!!

The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower

You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.

Help with hair.?

I've got curly, unruly, just above the shoulder hair. I want to get it cut, keeping it the same length, but a different style. I wear my hair straightened and curly so I want a stylish style that looks good both way. Any suggestions?

Help with hair.?

you should keep the same length and get it layered and straightened!

How to Straighten my Hair without any using hair products. . .?

look!. . . my hair is so thin and i want my hair to straighten and relax w/o using any hair products. . .thats really my big problem. . .

How to Straighten my Hair without any using hair products. . .?

Dry well using a hair dyer. While doing it, pull the hair straight out and keep it that way till it dries.

If it is thin, you need to have a good protein diet. Also feed hair directly with an egg once a month at least. Oil it too alternately.

How to Straighten my Hair without any using hair products. . .?

Bend over and blow dry your hair. I know it sounds funny but it works.

How to Straighten my Hair without any using hair products. . .?

hair straightner or you could ask a local hairdresser

How to Straighten my Hair without any using hair products. . .?

Blow dry your hair using a vent brush and pulling the hair with the brush using the dryer very close to the hair and then follow up with a straightener to get any spots that are stubborn however I would suggest using something on your hair to prevent heat damage. I know this is hair product but I found a great light spray for heat damage at sally's beauty supply that works really well and doesn't wieght down your hair... that way you can blow dry or use an iron without causing your hair perminant damage.

How to Straighten my Hair without any using hair products. . .?

No matter what your hair type is, you can style your hair any way you want it. So if you don't like product, don't use any...but products help it to do what you want it to do and keep it that way. If you want your hair to be straight you can blowdry your hair upside down then use a round brush to straighten. Straightening with a round brush will help your hair to be fuller esp. if you curl the ends with the brush. If you use a flat iron, your hair will become super flat and thin looking.

I would like my hair in the same sort of style as Mel B from Spice Girls (pre-straightening)?

Can someone tell me what this style is actually called and how i can get it done? Thanks x

I would like my hair in the same sort of style as Mel B from Spice Girls (pre-straightening)?

if it's the straight look that she has and you have afro carribean hair first of all wash your hair with your usual de frizz shampoo conditioner, then use a de frizz sirum while wet. use a hair dryer to blow dry straight as much as you can. afro hair is reall hard to straighten with average highstreet straighteners. invest in some GHD's. rhey are the best. start with the underneath section of your hair and from root to tip straighten very slowly do this twice. then drop next section and repeat and so on. you will have lovely straight hair. use some de frizz sirum after as your hair may go wirey cos of the texture.

I was thinking of purchasing a straightening iron but I don't know what to use to protect my ha

I know that there is something on the market made to protect but I don't know what they are and where I could get these.

I was thinking of purchasing a straightening iron but I don't know what to use to protect my hair. Any ideas?

I heard the best ones to get is Sedu or Chi. They are rather pricey though.

I have a Wigo Europe Ceramic one, which was moderately priced. My hair is slightly wavy, and it works pretty good, not the best but good.

I heard anything that has ion ceramic on it is the way to go. The better quality ones are better for really curly hair, but if you have less unrulely hair I would go with one in the $65 price range.

I was thinking of purchasing a straightening iron but I don't know what to use to protect my hair. Any ideas?

I put on Bio Silk before using the straightening iron. It閳ユ獨 a lotion for your hair and it smells great. You can find it in most salons and you don閳ユ獩 have to use a lot either. Good luck.

I was thinking of purchasing a straightening iron but I don't know what to use to protect my hair. Any ideas?

dont worry about it, just make sure you get a ceramic iron and it won't be damaging. I've been straightening my hair every day for 6 years and I can promise you it does not look fried.

Also, use good shampoo and conditioner and don't wash your hair everyday.

I was thinking of purchasing a straightening iron but I don't know what to use to protect my hair. Any ideas?

I know of something in a spray bottle, and it's called Heat Protection, I can't remember the brand, but I'm sure you can get it at Target or wal-mart for an affordable price.

I was thinking of purchasing a straightening iron but I don't know what to use to protect my hair. Any ideas?

I am a huge fan of CHI products. I use a product called thermal guard which protects your hair really well. Usually you can find CHI at salons or a drugstore

I was thinking of purchasing a straightening iron but I don't know what to use to protect my hair. Any ideas?

Well never flatten your hair when it is still wet...so make sure you dry it first...then herbal essence makes a good serum that you put on your hair specifically before you straighten it...its in a pink bottle and works pretty good...and just make sure you do a deep conditioning...like hot oil treatment once a week...

I was thinking of purchasing a straightening iron but I don't know what to use to protect my hair. Any ideas?

I have been using this product called Silk Elements. I bought it from Sally Beauty Supply. It works great! It helps protect from heat damage when using your flat iron, and it leaves your hair soft, smooth and shinny. It also smells good too.

I was thinking of purchasing a straightening iron but I don't know what to use to protect my hair. Any ideas?

How to Straighten your Hair With a Flat Iron

http://homebeautytips.blogspot.com/2007/...

I have very thin hair but a lot of it. it's wavy but not curly. Will chemically straightening w

I have had blonde foils about 3 months ago.

I have very thin hair but a lot of it. it's wavy but not curly. Will chemically straightening work?

i had the same problem i tried the chemical straightening and it worked but it ruined my hair....as it grew out the ends were straight and the top was wavy. i had to cut my hair really short which was only to my shoulders but i was used to having longer hair..i will never chemically straighten it again because i know what it does to your hair. i have just learned to deal with my wavy hair.

I have very thin hair but a lot of it. it's wavy but not curly. Will chemically straightening work?

Dont get it chemically straightend it costs ALOT OF MONEY! and it ruins your hair permenalty. It cant be fixed and is not good for your hair.. buy a chi!

I have very thin hair but a lot of it. it's wavy but not curly. Will chemically straightening work?

i would suggest getting a straightener instead because if you get it chemically straightened its difficult to get curls or waves back until your hair grows back..

by the way if you get a straightener make sure its not a cheap one

I have very thin hair but a lot of it. it's wavy but not curly. Will chemically straightening work?

well when i was three i had the same thing but it was also curly.we moved to germany when i turned 4 and the chemicals in the bath water straightened my hair so i will have to say yes but dont use alot.

I have very thin hair but a lot of it. it's wavy but not curly. Will chemically straightening work?

if you hair is thin the best thin you can do is just let it rest. Don't flat iron to often but do go to the salon often. Don't over wash it and cut of the weak ends. Also use deep conditioners. Just simply let it be for a while then you can start to have tons of fun once you see improvements.

I have very thin hair but a lot of it. it's wavy but not curly. Will chemically straightening work?

i have the same problom dont get it chemically straightend bad idea get a plug in hair straightner and use good conditioner my hair always comes out really soft and straight and its not permanate

I have very thin hair but a lot of it. it's wavy but not curly. Will chemically straightening work?

It's best not to chemically straighten unless you use the japanese straightening systems - they last longer and are less damaging.

They are very expensive though, and maintaining it is expensive (retouches are every 3-4 months).

It will work though...but I'm not sure if your hair is in good enough condition with the blonde color. If you used bleach, it might not be a good idea. I'm not really familiar with the japanese systems as they're not very popular where I live.

How do i straighten my hair??

ok, i have hair that's about shoulder length.

it's brown, i know that probably doesn't matter. lol.

i have a hair straightner, but it doesn't work that well.

plus, i don't really know how to straighten it right.

it always looks wavy or curly or ugly as mess.

is it better to straighten it at night time??

what kind of straightner should i get?

does blow drying my hair help straighten it??

oh, and what would be a good mascara if i want bigger, but not super dramatic eyes??

please help! thanks.

How do i straighten my hair??

You need to make sure to layer your hair. Clip a big section up, and then focus on just a little bit. Take small strands of hair and then brush them out. Then, you have to apply some sort of product. I use Sleek Look's Iron smoother. Then, start near your scalp, and slowly pull down. Go over it again if you have to.

Don't feel that you have to straighten your hair to be beautiful though. You say that sometimes it looks curly, how about embracing the curl?

I like Almay's volumizing mascara.

How do i straighten my hair??

you need to straighten it in layers, clip some up and straighten that layer, take some out, straiten...etc...

How do i straighten my hair??

just take the straightener and keep going over your head until it looks good. and straight. covergirl mascara

How do i straighten my hair??

You don't say what kind of straightener you have, but I use and reommend the CHI Ceramic Flat Iron by Farouk. I have one that I got at a Hair Show over 5 years ago and I use it every day, either on my hair or one or more of my customers hair. The best advice I can give you is to make an appointment with a professional hairdresser and have them show you how to use the straightener and also you must use a thermal protectant such as CHI Iron Guard or Framesi WIO Strait Balm.
