If your hair has that much texture/wave to it, you might want to consider going to a salon and having it professionally straightened. It will stay permanently straightened for months.

Otherwise, a flat iron on high heat could do serious damage to your hair.

I'm not sure what the procedure is called (it's not THAT fancy), and I'm not too familiar with it seeing as I have naturally straight hair, but I did work at Ulta and the stylists there did quite a nice job on girls with what you would call "ethnic" hair who wanted silky straight hair.

My little sisters go to the salon and get their's pressed. Idk what that means or what it entails but its straight and sways and stuff. Lol.
