I use andrew collins straighners but they make my hair feel all rough and stiff, then once I went to get a haircut and the hairdresser just used her hairdryer and a curling brush to straighten it, I 've tried but it doesn't work at home, does anyone have any adive or tips that they could share with me, I would be really grateful, as I have wavy hair which sometimes go frizzy and I would like to wear it down all day as I am in college; without any hassle. Someone HELP!!!!! please

Try using a ceramic flat iron. The ceramic will help keep frizz down, along with an anti-frizz cream. Just be careful you don't set the heat on the flat iron too high because it will damage your hair.

Depends on what your hair type is ? Is it European, black, Asian? If your hairdresser made a good job of it last time you went , ask what products they use or would recommend. Always invest in quality shampoo %26amp; conditioners (not the rubbish you see in the supermarkets etc) and use a treatment once a week.

I did read somewhere that making your final rinse in cold water helps, plus I believe models and actresses use ice-cubes to get a shine. I've never tried this myself, as I have dead-straight long hair... but it's worth a try.

i would highly recommend 'label m' - hair polish
its like a polish stick you rub a bit on one hand...rub your hands together and then run through your hair...it keeps it reaslly nice and shiny and smooth throughout the day. very effective and only costs 鎷? per stick. (75ml) apply it after straightening.

my hair is very long, thick and wavy, and quite dry...if i straighten my hair when its slightly damp,i cant get it right,i always use a REALLY gud conditioner, comb it threw with a comb, just messily dry it,but make sure its dry, properly, then section the hair and start from the back,if its not going straight, try thinner sections,u'll get the hang of it...hope this helps

I straigten my hair alot too and i recommend using a straightening shampoo and conditioner for starters I use Herbal Essences : dangerously straight it makes your hair smooth and silky. next I put Brocato Shine Drops on my hair while it is wet then I blow dry it Section it of into sections from the bottom layers up and spray a heat protectant spray onto the hair I am currently straightening , brush it through and straighten away
When you are straightening dont hold it on one spot for too long and dont straighten wet hair unless you have a straightner that is made for that.
If you dont find these tips helpful contact your stylist and ask for her advice.

I used to use Clairol Herbal Essences Maximum Hold mousse (until they ruined their product line with the new replacements), saturate all hair, comb straight, (do not comb or touch again until thoroghly dry) then blow dry until hair stiffens to a firm crust. Do this at night and sleep on it. Do not touch or tamper - Allow all night to completely dry (as the blow drying process leaves slight pockets of minor dampness.) In the morning, finger brush to soften up stiff crustiness and this leaves straight, silky soft hair that lasts up to four days. Since the ruining of Clairol products, I have switched to Got2BGlued mousse (in the yellow can - available at Walgreens) but the results are not as good and I am still seaching for that magic mousse that will equal the performance of the now discontinued Clairol. I have course, thick, wavy, kinky, unruly, frizzy, unmanagable hair and this process gave me miraculous results for an hour effort, once every four days and three bucks worth of mousse. It works but you have to find the right mousse. Experiment! Let me know if you find anything. (I am also beginning a new research process and plan to experiment with gels and spays combined with mousse.) Keep in touch. nokilleye@yahoo.com
