I've had a straight hair perm for about a year now, and I got it cut a couple days ago. Now my hair is back to wavy-ish kind of hair and I hate it. I need another perm, but my mom doesn't want to cause it cost too much.
anybody know where to get a really good straightener or somewhere to get a perm?
Anyone know how to get hair straightened?
Chi's do not last long. They break way too easily. Don't waste your money, and don't listen to the one's that are telling you it's the best. Sedu is one of the best straighteners out there and it is only $100.
To purcase a Sedu at the cheapest price, go to Folica.com , scroll to the very top and click on Hair Styling. On the left hand side, there will be and A - Z brand list. Find Sedu, click on it, and everything else from there is self - explanitory.
For more information on a Sedu, you can go to sedubeauty.com.

I would also recommend using a 1 inch instead of 1 1/2 inch, because the 1 1/2 doesn't do curls very well.
It reaches 410 degrees., with tempature control. CHI does not have tempature control. That means if the set tempature is too high for your hair, it can fry.
Celebrities have nice ahir, anf they don't use CHI. They use Sedu. There is something called Sedu hairstyles on every beauty website. No CHI hairstyles right?
Also, on Folica.com, people can post reviews on products after they have tried them. Here are they stats on CHI:
52 people say it is 1 star (bad) out of out of 1077 total reviews.
Sedu:
20 people say it is 1 star (bad) out of 3675 total reviews.
Sedu has 3 times as many reviews and almost 2/3 of the people say it is bad compared to CHI.
Good luck!

Heres steps on how to straighten your hair, i suggest a chi or conair straightener, but really any will work. just do this once every couple of days or untill the straightness wears off.
Invest in a quality flat iron. For very long hair you can opt for the wider paddle flat iron but the thinner flat irons will give you more flexibility and it works on long and short hair styles. Ask your hair stylist what brand they recommend. Avoid those sold in drug stores if you will be flat ironing regularly. The ones available through your hair stylist or a beauty supply store will last longer and will be less damaging as they have better heating surfaces and more temperature control options.
Invest in a protective spray for your hair. These are sold almost everywhere and they smooth and soften while you flat iron while protecting your hair from thermal damage. This isn't mandatory but it will help.
Wash your hair and condition it as you normally would. Flat ironing hair can dry hair so use a deep conditioner or leave your regular condition on for a few more minutes than usual.
Using a microfiber towel or your regular towel try to get as much moisture out of your hair as possible.
Spray on an instant spray leave-in conditioner.
Use a wide tooth comb to part and comb your hair. If you normally don't have a part do the best you can.
Dry your hair using a hair dryer and use a paddle or vent brush to get your hair as straight as you can while blow drying it.
Brush dry hair to eliminate as many knots as possible.
Put the top half of your hair up into a bun.
Divide the bottom half of your hair into small, thin sections. For best results use sections that are 1-2 inches wide and only about 1/2 inch thick.
Spray the hair protective spray over the section of hair and run a comb through it to remove all knots. Hair without tangles will straighten better. The heat protective spray and the leave-in conditioner will usually help with tangles also.
Hold a section of hair with one hand and use the other to clamp the flat iron as close to your roots as possible. Hold the hair firmly in the flat iron.
Pull the flat iron over the small section of hair in one fluid movement. If it isn't completely straight, that's OK, pull it through again.
Don't move jerkily while pulling the flat iron through your hair. It will leave horizontal lines indented in your hair and you will need to go over the hair several more times to remove them.
Don't be alarmed if you see steam rising from the iron or a sizzling noise. The plates are very hot and there may be some moisture left from the wash in addition to the sprays. This is normal.
Continue to move around your head straightening small sections all the way around as you go. Then take down the rest of your hair, tie the bottom half, and straighten that portion.
Examine your work in a mirror to make sure you didn't miss any sections. Don't forget to check the back. Now is the time to go over any missed spots or any place that is particularly frizzy.
Play with your hair to style it. You may need to flat iron pulling the section in another direction to get it out of your face or to help it style a certain way.
Continue to style your hair but avoid spraying water or adding mousse. The water content will cause your hair to curl back up or frizz almost immediately.
Consider using a curling iron for adding subtle curls or just wear it straight. Use a hair spray for humidity if you live in a humid area. Your hair will be prone to frizz with the moisture in the air.
Congratulations! You've gone from curly to straight! Enjoy your new style and have fun with it.Add a small amount of silicone based hair shine solution. Add only a few drops and rub between your hands and then smooth over hair. Adding too much is very easy and your hair will look greasy.
Remember your umbrella!Keep an umbrella handy. Rain will undo all your hard work and leave you with a frizzy mess. Also carry a headband with you in the summer to keep the perspiration from your bangs.
Wash your hair and it will return to normal.
Tips; When blow-drying your hair, make sure the hairdryer is pointing down, so that all the hair follicles point down, which shines your hair. Also, before blow-drying, consider applying a heat protection spray.
Invest in a good flat iron. Make sure to get one that has flat blades preferably ceramic.
If your hair is fragile, use a low setting on the iron. If it's thick and unruly, make the heat almost the hottest it can be. When in doubt, keep it on a lower setting; it will be less damaging.
Another type of straightener that can help straighten without damaging is an ionic or wet to dry straightener. Instead of using two heated plates, it acts as a blow-dryer causing less damage and less frizz.
Also, if your blow dryer has a cool setting, turn that setting on after drying it fully. It makes the hair appear shinier, just like rinsing your hair with cool water will.
Warnings; Don't use a straightener more than two or four times a week. Constant straightening will lead to damaged hair, no matter how many sprays you use. Consider wearing your hair naturally or putting it up as alternate hair styles.
Don't brush your hair when it's wet, because it stretches and breaks the hair. Always use a wide-toothed comb.
If you're in a rush and need to dry your hair, don't take the easy way out and straighten your hair when it's wet. You are boiling your hair! Major damage. Always dry hair completely prior to straightening. To limit damage to your hair you can wash and let dry naturally before flat ironing. Still use the leave-in conditioner before flat ironing to help manage the hair and tangles.
Don't use too much hair serum or hair products, because you don't want your hair to look lank and greasy.
If you want your hair to be extra soft and shiny, section your hair when blow drying.
Don't leave the straightener on a specific piece of your hair for too long. If the straightener is very hot, you may end up frying your hair off, and it will take a long time to grow back.
Things You'll NeedWide-toothed comb
Hair dryer (preferably with a nozzle/difusser)
Hair serum
Round, Paddle, or Vent brush
Ceramic hair straightener
Heat protection spray (hair spray works well to create a barrier between your hair and the straightener)
Shampoo and conditioner
GOOD LUCK and i hope you acheive you hair style!
Anyone know how to get hair straightened?
almost any straighting machine for your hair works, some may damage your hair, and some may not work. ask the store dealer, read the box, and try to find some online.
Anyone know how to get hair straightened?
Blow dry it straight with a round brush or a paddle brush then flat iron with a Chi or something similar. It may cost just as much for the straightener as a perm. If you cheap out on the flat iron it will not work well and you will get frustrated.
Anyone know how to get hair straightened?
Boots do a perminant straightening product which does work if you use it properly. BUT!!! Make sure your hair is in good condition when you use it. I think it costs about 鎷?0.
