How much does it cost to chemically straighten hair?

I have hair long and thick. So how much would it does to chemically straighten???

How much does it cost to chemically straighten hair?

My hair is thick and down to my waist if I perm it or chemically straghten it cost 100$ if im luck most the time its about as high as 120$ The reason for this is because not only is it a longer process because of the length but it takes more solution to perm/straighten hair if long and thick, someone with short hair would probly be about 60$ But longer hair is more expensive. To perm my hair it took 3 bottles of perm solution to cover my whole head/hair! If your hair is naturally striaght it should be at least about 100$ and easier to straighten then if it was naturally curly. Definatly check more than one place for prices because they can vary depending on how well known they are. I found a great place right by my house that did my hair for 80$ the best price i ever got! They did a great job! They told me they have to give cheap prices because they are not well known and in there shop is not very visible.

How much does it cost to chemically straighten hair?

depends onhow much hair you have...it is expensive.

How much does it cost to chemically straighten hair?

that sounds like frying your hair with chemicals

How much does it cost to chemically straighten hair?

It will be expensive probably over 鎷?00, and it only lasts maximum 6 weeks ( I heard ) Because your hair is long AND thick, more substance will need to be used, so therefore it is already double, if not triple the price it would be for someone with short and thick hair. Why don't you jus buy some GHD straighteners for 鎷?0 and save your money in the long run ?

How much does it cost to chemically straighten hair?

dEPENdS 0N H0W MUCh hAiR yU HAVE BUt i WUd SAy Ab0Ut $50

How much does it cost to chemically straighten hair?

its very expensive but it doesnt sraighten ur hair like with a straightner it looks more natural. its about 600-800 dollars i think. it lasts for about 6 months, you cant wash your hair for about 72 hours and the process it self takes about 3 or4 hours the thick ness i think doesnt matter because it would already be expensive to straighten it

How much does it cost to chemically straighten hair?

Uhmm I just got mine done.

And I have medium legnthed and thick hair.

And it only cost 60 dollars.

But when I had longer hair,

It only cost me 80 dollars.

So aroud that price.

Japanese hair straightener + color?

will it be okay for me to color my hair after a week of getting my hair straightened (specifically the japanese hair straightener) ? others say it may badly damage your hair and ruin a straight hair, while others say that it wont ruin a straight hair at all. please help. thanks!

Japanese hair straightener + color?

you already have chemicals in your hair.. it is hard to stragihted color treated hair.. but i am not sure if it is otherway around.. I am sure you can dye your hair 'coz i have seen people dye their grey hair even after getting japanese permanant straightening done :)... but when you talk about damage... chemicals are never minerals/food to hair.. if you need style you have to mess up with chemicals :)

hoep this helps you :)

Japanese hair straightener + color?

no matter what kind of hair you have.. too many chemicals will mess it up!!

In a dilemma! Wavy or Straight hair??

I have wavy hair which is of medium length, but i cannnot try too many style with it...i'm tried of tying it up in a pony tail...i'm thinking of going for hair straightening...any suggestions??

In a dilemma! Wavy or Straight hair??

Wavy hair is really nice. However, if you need a change, then talk to your hairdresser about syles that would look good with your face shape. Also look at magazines for inspiration. Maybe you would want to do this during March Break(if you're in school), because you could surprise everyone when you get back.

In a dilemma! Wavy or Straight hair??

Leave your hair the way it is! If you straighten it too much it might look worse!

In a dilemma! Wavy or Straight hair??

change your hair any way you want. if you dont like it then you know that you dont like it and never try it again

In a dilemma! Wavy or Straight hair??

I vote for wavy...

In a dilemma! Wavy or Straight hair??

I'm sorry but if this is your biggest dilemma...?! Still, if I had to answer, which is tough since I haven't got a picture, I would say wavy. I think wavy looks cool..

In a dilemma! Wavy or Straight hair??

Straighten it. If you've never put a flat iron to your hair before, make sure you do a test piece to get the temperature right. I've seen girls torch thier hair by using very hot heat on very fine hair.

In a dilemma! Wavy or Straight hair??

i would invest in a straightener. where i come from, there are not many people who have a license to chemically straighten because it's a difficult process. (and very easy to screw up!) if done uncorrectly it can literally break your hair in half! it is the worst thing you can do to your hair! plus with a straightener you have more then one option to wear your hair!

if you do decide to chemically straighten make sure you talk to people who have gone to the same salon. be absolutly sure they know what they're doing!!!

In a dilemma! Wavy or Straight hair??

Straight,Wavy will just make it worse than it looks,My sister,My mum and my whole family have straight hair,So yeah,I'd go with straight hair.

In a dilemma! Wavy or Straight hair??

please please straighten it it will look soo much better i have medium hair and its natrually wavy and it looks terrible when you straighten it you'll love it

Will Long Layers De-Poof My Hair?

i have hair that falls past my shoulders a little. it is in between curly and wavy. it is very poofy. and thick.

i want an easy to style cut, so i usually just air dry my hair. straightening takes too long for everyday.

some people say long layers get rid of poof.

some people say it makes it poofier.

i'm looking for an anwser.

help!?

Will Long Layers De-Poof My Hair?

My hair is just like yours!

i'm not sure if long layers will de-poof it but I had mine thinned-out and cut with a "razor" at the salon.

Also, when you get out of the shower rub Pantene ProV de-frizzing serum all over your hair, and comb through.

Then braid your hair on either side of your ears to get rid of the poofy-curlies, it will just look pretty-wavy by morning if you shower at night.

HEEELLLP! Has anyone ever used Dark and Lovely Hair relaxer? Is it very effective? HELLLP!?

My hair is curly and i've just bought the Dark and Lovely hair relaxer as it was the only hair straightening product available at the pharmacy! I bought it hesitantly, so, i would like to know if it is effective or not!! Please advise! I'm from Mauritius

HEEELLLP! Has anyone ever used Dark and Lovely Hair relaxer? Is it very effective? HELLLP!?

Dark and Lovely is meant for afro caribbean type hair. I would not suggest it being used for any hair other than that. If you want to straighten your hair, try looking for texturizers or at home straightening hair kits meant for caucasian hair as they are much gentler. If you haven't got afrocaribbean type hair i.e. it tends to look more like caucasian hair then the thick coarse texture of black hair, then I would not suggest using dark %26amp; lovely. If you want more permanent results, go to a salon and ask for the expensive japanese treatment that lasts several months. The draw back is that it's expensive.

If you do go ahead with the relaxer, make sure you follow the instructions to the letter and please do a strand test first to prevent any problems. As a relaxer chemically destroys the structure of the hair, I would advise you get regular trims and have lots of deep conditioning sessions, at least once a week to get your hair in a better condition.

HEEELLLP! Has anyone ever used Dark and Lovely Hair relaxer? Is it very effective? HELLLP!?

If you have dyed your hair you SHOULD NOT use it!

If you have not dyed you hair, it will turn out great! =]

HEEELLLP! Has anyone ever used Dark and Lovely Hair relaxer? Is it very effective? HELLLP!?

I have used the product and the results were good! Just make sure you follow the instructions carefully so you know when to take off the relaxer.

HEEELLLP! Has anyone ever used Dark and Lovely Hair relaxer? Is it very effective? HELLLP!?

It depends on the texture of your hair%26amp; the strength of the relaxer you purchased. The come in 3 different types. Mild, Regular, or Super strength.. I suggest that you do a strand test first before applying, so you don't expirence hair loss.

Does your hair change in the winter?

at the beginning of the year my hair straightened real easy within a few minutes. but in the middle and end of the year it got really hard to straighten and usually i gave up but now its summer again it straightens easily again...so does ur hair change during different seasons or something

Does your hair change in the winter?

Yes, tempatures and humidity make all the difference. In the winter, the air is cold and brisk. It will make it harder to keep straight because there is condensation in the air. It's also easier to damage your hair in the winter because of the cold so look for a good conditioner masque for your specific hair type.

Does your hair change in the winter?

actually my hair gets softer during the winter

Does your hair change in the winter?

i think it does because i had the exact same problem!

Does your hair change in the winter?

yes it does it gets lighter

Does your hair change in the winter?

yeh my hair is darker in the winter...like black and in the summer and spring my hair is still black but there's like natural light brown highlights from the sun

Does your hair change in the winter?

Yes, your hair is shinny in the winter. Because of the cold, you cuticle is more compact, therefor refleting more light, and feeling softer.

X tenso loreal or japanese hair staraightening?

I have kind of curly frizzy hair and as I am going on vacation next month I dont want to spend all my time dressing my hair I was thinking of japanese hair straightening or xtenso loreal but no idea which is better and less harmfull also long lasting and whre I can do it in toronto with the best result and ofcourse price

X tenso loreal or japanese hair staraightening?

How about sing a ceramic curling iron with a CHI (very small bottle-lasts six months to a year) which smooths your hair then you briefly run the iron through your hair.

I recently got my hair straightened and it's all damaged and falling out. What are my rights as

My hair is totally destroyed and the top and sides have totally fallen out. I have showed the hair salon and they offered me a $20 gift card. I thought this was insane. Anyone have advice? What can I do? I have since spent over $500 at another salon trying to fix it. Thank you!

I recently got my hair straightened and it's all damaged and falling out. What are my rights as a consumer?

you have a legal right to sue these people and do so.... if your hair is not right while you are in salon you can leave with out paying ... straightening hair is a very delicate procedure if it is breaking and falling out they have either over processed it or it is an allergy reaction or even both ... chemical could have been too old or reacted to other stuff you have on your hair (test are there to stop mistakes) or they just don't know what they are doing... seek legal advice there are enough bad hairdressers giving good ones bad names don't let them get away with it our hair is important to us an bad workmanship is not good enough

I recently got my hair straightened and it's all damaged and falling out. What are my rights as a consumer?

glad i could help!! Report It

I recently got my hair straightened and it's all damaged and falling out. What are my rights as a consumer?

unfortunately I'm sure they either explained to you what could happen or you signed a chemical card. and you can't really prove enough in court to sue because you got your hair done under your own will. All you can do is learn from it and maybe not use so many chemicals on your hair again, cuz it clearly can't handle it.

I recently got my hair straightened and it's all damaged and falling out. What are my rights as a consumer?

Wow, that really stinks. I can't believe they only offered you a $20 gift card. I think that you should go back into the place where you got it sraightened and demand that they do whatever they can to fix it and that they do it for free, and don't take "no" for an answer.

I recently got my hair straightened and it's all damaged and falling out. What are my rights as a consumer?

My sister got her hair curled and when she went back to get it straight again it ruined her hair now it's a big puff ball on her head and she can no longer wear her hair down. The reason this happened: too many chemicals! Make sure you wait at least 2 1/2-3 weeks to get it fixed at another salon. If your hair is falling out so much you have bald spots Sue Them!! But if you can barely tell then just start wearing it down more and wait til ur hair goes back to it's original state. If you wear it up in pony tails it will just tear more hair out. Good Luck.

I recently got my hair straightened and it's all damaged and falling out. What are my rights as a consumer?

you can call the cosmetology board i can give you the number you have to have the stylists name and the salon name that you went to.. you should deffinently tell the boards because obviously they didnt know what they were doing... this is the massachusets board number its a start they can send you to the right state if your not in mass... a 20$ gift card is NOT acceptable the number is 617-727-3067 GOOD LUCK

Does anyone knows any good hair irons and tips?

I am looking for a hair straightening iron, can anyone recommend me an iron that will work, because the ones ive gotten from the drug stores are really bad. And how can I help it so my hair wont frizz in a few minutes after the ironing. Thank you

Does anyone knows any good hair irons and tips?

Tips on Using a Hair Iron:

7 tips for effective and safe use of a hair iron for a straight hair...

The hair iron is coming more and more popular. It is used by women of all ages and for various purposes.

1. Use the hair iron only after you have cleaned your hair. Actually, it can be dangerous to use it before you clean your hair because dirt or grease left in the hair will be cooked by the heat of the hair iron and the damage made is inevitable.

2. Do not iron your hair with a clothes iron. If you will use it without taking the necessary safety measures, your hair will singe. The singed hair can not be cut out or covered up. Use a hair iron produced for this purpose instead.

3. A short straightening method using a hair flat iron: First dry your hair for about 15 minutes using a dryer, then continue drying your hair and at the same time comb it with your fingers. Comb it carefully so that you will get the curl out. Then, for a short time (no more than five minutes) use the hair iron at the ends of your hair. This is a proven and safe way to straighten and keep your hair shiny.

4. Following blowing dry your hair with heat, we advise you to switch to cold hair (Most products have this option). It makes your hair shiny and it is healthier for your hair.

5. Always use a brush while blowing dry your hair. It makes your hair straight and saves time.

6. Blow hair dry at night for a great and straight look in the next morning.

7. Try putting some gel after dividing your hair into three sections while blow drying your hair with a comb for straightening your hair.

The chi and the maxi glide are both good, they are expensive (about $100) but think about how much money you have wasted on the cheap ones and they are well worth it.

First off, you should post your question in the correct section...

Does anyone knows any good hair irons and tips?

sometimes...things happen for a reason.

I only visit the cooking and pet sections...so would never have seen this if it hadn't been posted here.

By co-incidnece...I recently discovered hair iron straighteners..and got a new hairstyle after 15 years!! (I have bad hair...when you get a decent look..you stay with it!! lol).

Anyway....I've just (2 times) used my new *tool* with my new *do*.....so this question and answer is a great find for me.

Thanks for posting.

ps...there are no mistakes...everything happens for a reason!!!!!!

Girls with curly hair: do you straighten your hair regularly?

I have very thick, frizzy hair, and I straighten it a lot, because it makes it more manageable, but now I think it's become too damaged from the heat. Should I stop straightening it so much?

Girls with curly hair: do you straighten your hair regularly?

I am in the exact situation as you! I use Ion Heat Protectant. Do you use a heat protectant? It is one of the most important parts of straightening. But if you don't have one, then get one! If it becomes damaged, get a haircut on the ends and then take a break for a while.

Girls with curly hair: do you straighten your hair regularly?

defenaitley, or stat using a ceramic or shi straitner

Girls with curly hair: do you straighten your hair regularly?

Yes you should stop straightening your hair, but if you can't resist it...get some hair product to keep you hair looking healthy. But for a fact, if your hair is really damage, it is hard to make it look healthy unless you cut it and let new ones grow.

Girls with curly hair: do you straighten your hair regularly?

If you do not use some sort of a cream or gel to protect your hair against the heat from the blow dryer and straightener then I would recommend that, if you do then YES stop for a while and let your hair breathe

Girls with curly hair: do you straighten your hair regularly?

i think u should stop straightening it and focus on repairing and making your curls beautiful. but dont get me wrong i know how frusterating curls can be. i would srtaighten my hair every once and a while because i liked the change but it became a hassle and i got LOT of people complimenting the curls. besides straightening your hair dries it out a lot not to mention fries it every time. so i just personally think u may wannna stop and if u hav curls embrace em and use pruducts that are designed to get your hair the way u like.

Girls with curly hair: do you straighten your hair regularly?

Nope! I LOVE my curly hair! I'd look really bad without it, and I think my hair should be its natural color and shape.

Girls with curly hair: do you straighten your hair regularly?

yeah

try conditioner it my help

Girls with curly hair: do you straighten your hair regularly?

Stop straightening it, give it a break. No pun intended. I have thick wavy hair, and when it grows long enough, i have a complete 8" afro. I just keep it short, but in a cute style, so as not to appear TOO butch. I WOULD like a BF.

Girls with curly hair: do you straighten your hair regularly?

i have the same problem my hair is a mess if i don't straighten it!! i always straighten my hair every day and now it's dry with split ends and damaged!!..u should definitely stop and try to make your hair healthier again

Girls with curly hair: do you straighten your hair regularly?

Your hair sounds like mine; very thick poofy frizzy hair. I've also bleached it twice [From nearly black to nearly white] and dyed it about 10 times and I see my hair healthier than ever because of my conditioner. I suggest Garnier fructis [What I use] for a cheap solution. If it doesn't get better, try to start straightening your hair maybe twice a week.

Girls with curly hair: do you straighten your hair regularly?

I straighten like every day. But realize that is'nt great for your hair

Girls with curly hair: do you straighten your hair regularly?

yeah. barely anyone knows i have curly hair. just get it cut more than normal.

Girls with curly hair: do you straighten your hair regularly?

i also have wild curly and frizzy hair and it gets tangled instantly and i cant brush it or comb it so i straighten it all the time. Lately ive been getting alot of spilt ends and stuff like that. Your really only supposed to starighten your hair once a month...and ive totally went over that. If you really want to have your permently straighten then see a hair salon. it is pricey but theres one where its much cheaper and its semi-straightens your hair. You can also but a hair straighten solution form a drug store

Hair problems....?

well first of all i have poofy hair and it is naturally curly. so i have to brush it and then straighten it with a flat iron. is there any hair spray products out there that will help my hair straighten before i use a straightener?

Use an ionic flat iron. It will not curl back easly.

Solia makes a Tourmaline Ceramic Ionic Flat Iron.

According to the Solia flat iron website, "tourmaline,

a precious stone, is used to generate up to 6 times more

negative ions than traditional ceramic irons".( $75/85)

Go to Sally's Beauty or any beauty supply store for the best type. I like the ones by Revlon.

One that has ceramic plates and heats up to 175 degrees or more.

Does anyone know any good hair irons and tips?

I personally like the Jibere 2" ceramic flat iron from Sally's beauty salon. I've done a lot of people's hair with it and it works! It has a dial from 1-30 so you can make it hot or warm. I suggest you used a heat protectant spray or silicone mist before you flat iron each section. It keeps the frizz away.

GHD Professional Hair Straightener is by far the best. We were recommended it by the hairdresser and even with really curly hair it straightened long hair in 15 minutes and stayed straight for days. A little bit of grapeseed oil after the hair has been straightened works really well too. Just a few drops is enough.

Anyone know how to get hair straightened?

I've had a straight hair perm for about a year now, and I got it cut a couple days ago. Now my hair is back to wavy-ish kind of hair and I hate it. I need another perm, but my mom doesn't want to cause it cost too much.

anybody know where to get a really good straightener or somewhere to get a perm?

Anyone know how to get hair straightened?

Chi's do not last long. They break way too easily. Don't waste your money, and don't listen to the one's that are telling you it's the best. Sedu is one of the best straighteners out there and it is only $100.

To purcase a Sedu at the cheapest price, go to Folica.com , scroll to the very top and click on Hair Styling. On the left hand side, there will be and A - Z brand list. Find Sedu, click on it, and everything else from there is self - explanitory.

For more information on a Sedu, you can go to sedubeauty.com.

Curling with a Sedu:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=k57daS_c_yI

Flipping hair with a Sedu:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=qrMPuIdQ0vw

I would also recommend using a 1 inch instead of 1 1/2 inch, because the 1 1/2 doesn't do curls very well.

It reaches 410 degrees., with tempature control. CHI does not have tempature control. That means if the set tempature is too high for your hair, it can fry.

Celebrities have nice ahir, anf they don't use CHI. They use Sedu. There is something called Sedu hairstyles on every beauty website. No CHI hairstyles right?

Also, on Folica.com, people can post reviews on products after they have tried them. Here are they stats on CHI:

52 people say it is 1 star (bad) out of out of 1077 total reviews.

Sedu:

20 people say it is 1 star (bad) out of 3675 total reviews.

Sedu has 3 times as many reviews and almost 2/3 of the people say it is bad compared to CHI.

Good luck!

Anyone know how to get hair straightened?

Well..

I have Remington Wet n Dry straightners.

You can use them straight after a shower/bath and they straighten your hair very well.

Worked for me and i've got naturally wavy hair!

Anyone know how to get hair straightened?

I use a coroliss( not sure if I spelled it right) and it woks really well. You can get them on ebay 4 like 20 dollars but otherwise @ a store they will cost about 100 dollars

Anyone know how to get hair straightened?

Heres steps on how to straighten your hair, i suggest a chi or conair straightener, but really any will work. just do this once every couple of days or untill the straightness wears off.

Invest in a quality flat iron. For very long hair you can opt for the wider paddle flat iron but the thinner flat irons will give you more flexibility and it works on long and short hair styles. Ask your hair stylist what brand they recommend. Avoid those sold in drug stores if you will be flat ironing regularly. The ones available through your hair stylist or a beauty supply store will last longer and will be less damaging as they have better heating surfaces and more temperature control options.

Invest in a protective spray for your hair. These are sold almost everywhere and they smooth and soften while you flat iron while protecting your hair from thermal damage. This isn't mandatory but it will help.

Wash your hair and condition it as you normally would. Flat ironing hair can dry hair so use a deep conditioner or leave your regular condition on for a few more minutes than usual.

Using a microfiber towel or your regular towel try to get as much moisture out of your hair as possible.

Spray on an instant spray leave-in conditioner.

Use a wide tooth comb to part and comb your hair. If you normally don't have a part do the best you can.

Dry your hair using a hair dryer and use a paddle or vent brush to get your hair as straight as you can while blow drying it.

Brush dry hair to eliminate as many knots as possible.

Put the top half of your hair up into a bun.

Divide the bottom half of your hair into small, thin sections. For best results use sections that are 1-2 inches wide and only about 1/2 inch thick.

Spray the hair protective spray over the section of hair and run a comb through it to remove all knots. Hair without tangles will straighten better. The heat protective spray and the leave-in conditioner will usually help with tangles also.

Hold a section of hair with one hand and use the other to clamp the flat iron as close to your roots as possible. Hold the hair firmly in the flat iron.

Pull the flat iron over the small section of hair in one fluid movement. If it isn't completely straight, that's OK, pull it through again.

Don't move jerkily while pulling the flat iron through your hair. It will leave horizontal lines indented in your hair and you will need to go over the hair several more times to remove them.

Don't be alarmed if you see steam rising from the iron or a sizzling noise. The plates are very hot and there may be some moisture left from the wash in addition to the sprays. This is normal.

Continue to move around your head straightening small sections all the way around as you go. Then take down the rest of your hair, tie the bottom half, and straighten that portion.

Examine your work in a mirror to make sure you didn't miss any sections. Don't forget to check the back. Now is the time to go over any missed spots or any place that is particularly frizzy.

Play with your hair to style it. You may need to flat iron pulling the section in another direction to get it out of your face or to help it style a certain way.

Continue to style your hair but avoid spraying water or adding mousse. The water content will cause your hair to curl back up or frizz almost immediately.

Consider using a curling iron for adding subtle curls or just wear it straight. Use a hair spray for humidity if you live in a humid area. Your hair will be prone to frizz with the moisture in the air.

Congratulations! You've gone from curly to straight! Enjoy your new style and have fun with it.Add a small amount of silicone based hair shine solution. Add only a few drops and rub between your hands and then smooth over hair. Adding too much is very easy and your hair will look greasy.

Remember your umbrella!Keep an umbrella handy. Rain will undo all your hard work and leave you with a frizzy mess. Also carry a headband with you in the summer to keep the perspiration from your bangs.

Wash your hair and it will return to normal.

Tips; When blow-drying your hair, make sure the hairdryer is pointing down, so that all the hair follicles point down, which shines your hair. Also, before blow-drying, consider applying a heat protection spray.

Invest in a good flat iron. Make sure to get one that has flat blades preferably ceramic.

If your hair is fragile, use a low setting on the iron. If it's thick and unruly, make the heat almost the hottest it can be. When in doubt, keep it on a lower setting; it will be less damaging.

Another type of straightener that can help straighten without damaging is an ionic or wet to dry straightener. Instead of using two heated plates, it acts as a blow-dryer causing less damage and less frizz.

Also, if your blow dryer has a cool setting, turn that setting on after drying it fully. It makes the hair appear shinier, just like rinsing your hair with cool water will.

Warnings; Don't use a straightener more than two or four times a week. Constant straightening will lead to damaged hair, no matter how many sprays you use. Consider wearing your hair naturally or putting it up as alternate hair styles.

Don't brush your hair when it's wet, because it stretches and breaks the hair. Always use a wide-toothed comb.

If you're in a rush and need to dry your hair, don't take the easy way out and straighten your hair when it's wet. You are boiling your hair! Major damage. Always dry hair completely prior to straightening. To limit damage to your hair you can wash and let dry naturally before flat ironing. Still use the leave-in conditioner before flat ironing to help manage the hair and tangles.

Don't use too much hair serum or hair products, because you don't want your hair to look lank and greasy.

If you want your hair to be extra soft and shiny, section your hair when blow drying.

Don't leave the straightener on a specific piece of your hair for too long. If the straightener is very hot, you may end up frying your hair off, and it will take a long time to grow back.

Things You'll NeedWide-toothed comb

Hair dryer (preferably with a nozzle/difusser)

Hair serum

Round, Paddle, or Vent brush

Ceramic hair straightener

Heat protection spray (hair spray works well to create a barrier between your hair and the straightener)

Shampoo and conditioner

GOOD LUCK and i hope you acheive you hair style!

Anyone know how to get hair straightened?

almost any straighting machine for your hair works, some may damage your hair, and some may not work. ask the store dealer, read the box, and try to find some online.

Anyone know how to get hair straightened?

Blow dry it straight with a round brush or a paddle brush then flat iron with a Chi or something similar. It may cost just as much for the straightener as a perm. If you cheap out on the flat iron it will not work well and you will get frustrated.

What type of products can I use to straighten hair?

I really need products that will help straighten my hair, keep frizziness off of my hair, and help with dryness. Please help!!

Best Answer 10 points

What type of products can I use to straighten hair?

you have loads of choices to keep your hair straight.

1) Straightener. easy to use but could probably damage your hair more with the heat. I strongly suggest to use a heat protectant spray, gel, cream whenever you straighten so it reduces the damage.

2) Permanent straightening/relaxing - ive tried this and although it sounds very harmful to your hair because of the chemicals, it actually leaves your hair smooth and silky. Youll never have to worry about styling your hair until it grows out

3) Semi-permanent straightening kits - ive seen these in chemists a fair bit and these are basically just do-it-yourself straightening kits. These are semi-permanent and so are probably arent as harmful as full straightening.

4) Frizz creams, gel, oil, serums - there are LOADS of these on the markets. But i prefer sprays or creams. Oils and serums tend to make my hair look very wet and oily and it does not help as i have black hair. Sprays are probably the best to give a light and worthy look

What type of products can I use to straighten hair?

A chi.

As for the frizz and dryness, get a shampoo for that from your local beauty shop !

What type of products can I use to straighten hair?

you'll get the best answer in a salon.....

but if u have dry hair.... hair oil is the best....

as in olive oil.... almond oil....

no creams and stuff

What type of products can I use to straighten hair?

use chi products and i definitely recommend the chi straightener.

you could also try bumble and bumble products that are sold at CVS, although they can be expensive (30.00) they are worth the money.

But you should definitely also try going to a salon.

What type of products can I use to straighten hair?

The absolute best is a product called Straighten Out by FX Special Effects. You'll love it!!!

How do do you make straightened hair stay?

How do do you make straightened hair stay for the entire day. Like make it withstand harsh weather conditions such as rain or wind. If I'm walking in the wind, the ends flick out and it does not look nice :(.

How do do you make straightened hair stay?

After you are done straightening you can use a product to help it stay. Frizzease [sp?] or just some gel can help it stay through out the day. I have very curly wavyish hair and that's what I do. When it's raining or humid I suggest John Frieda frizzease, or it can get really poofy and frizzy. Good luck :]

How do do you make straightened hair stay?

There are certain straightening creams and sprays that you can use when straightening. They usually work. Try one from Maxium.(i think thats the name)

How do do you make straightened hair stay?

I have natural wavvy tresses that flows below my waistline and believe me, I know how it feels having to tackle frizz by the horns! I found the best hair straightening iron called Sedu and I swear it tames the most stubborn frizz and it stays true all day long. I also apply Frederick Fekkai's hair serum for that shiny and manageable result.

How do do you make straightened hair stay?

Use a ceramic hair straightener. I recommend getting a Chi. They use them in the salons and they make your hair stick straight and very smooth. They're expensive ( around $140)and are very much worth it. You could probably find a good deal on one on Ebay though. You can find cheaper ones by Revlon or Vidal Sassoon at Walgreens or Meijer or something like that and I have used them and they definitely work just fine as well. But just make sure it's ceramic.

I have very curly and thick hair and straighten my hair almost everyday and never have a problem with it once it's straight. It lasts until I wash it again no matter what the weather is like (well, except rain of course lol). Just make sure when you straighten your hair, do it in sections and use a comb or brush as you straighten to keep it smooth as you go!

I don't usually put any extra product on my hair. Just use the straightener. Let me know how it goes! And good luck!

How do I go about getting my hair straightened?

Ok so I have always had thick curly frizzy hair and I had been getting it buzzed short cuz I hated how it looked but I would really love to have long straight hair. I've been growing it out for several months now and its pretty much like a big fluffy frizzball. It's not really kinky curly its more of a messy curly and if u wash it and comb it and put gel or whatever it usually stays down for a while but it looks stupid and has places that start sticking up and curling when it dries. I'm really sick of it lol. What do I have to do to have fairly long straight hair? Heres kinda how I want my hair

http://www.spin.com/features/magazine/im... What can I put in it (shampoo, straighteners etc) and how should I comb it and do I need to get it trimmed or anything to even it as it grows? I cant afford any expensive treatments though so keep it cheap on the suggestions. Oh yeah and since hair texture varies with people if it helps I'm a 17 year old white dude yup!

How do I go about getting my hair straightened?

that pic is fekin freaky man

How do I go about getting my hair straightened?

you will need to get a flat iron to straighten your hair, and you will have to do it everytime you wash it...just a hint...get a really good one...it will cost you a lot of money, but with your hair, you will need one that has a temperature setting on it....the one i purchased for my daughter who has hair similar to yours cost $120.00, but was worth it...i have purchased one cheaper one, but it did not work with her hair.

How do I go about getting my hair straightened?

I use a straightener for mine, and sometimes add Dep Straight Cream Gel to the ends, which helps to keep frizz down.

After washing my hair, I never let it air dry-unless I'll be straightening it before going in public. I usually braid it, and take them out in the morning so I just have waves. My hair is really long and naturally frizzy-wavy. Pretty much crap. D=

Just put some of that Dep stuff on the ends of your hair [it says when it's damp, but then you'd have to blow dry it; just do it when it's dry], and then use a straightener.

How do I go about getting my hair straightened?

try blow drying it with a roll brush going through your hair at the same time in small sections of hair, and then flat iron it.

How do I go about getting my hair straightened?

you could get it relaxed and straighten it a bit which is usually about $75 depending on your hair length.

I would suggest getting it thinned and flat ironing it

How do I go about getting my hair straightened?

ok 17 year old white dude........here's my thought. I'm trying to get a picture of what your hair looks like. I saw the picture of Mason and see what your trying to go for.

Now you might get some that say your going to have to break the bank for one of these things..........but you don't. What am I talking about. A flat iron.........a inexpensive one too. Some of these things you can spend way tooo much money for and they all eventually will dry your hair....for God's sake your putting all this heat on it how ever often, like your not ever going to see or have damage. Ya, right.

Anyway go to Walmart buy a ConAir 1 inch ceramic flat iron, Revlon sells them too. But I've had this cheapy ConAir slim flat iron for over a year and it cost less than $20.00. It still works fine.

Anyway they say you should you use product in your hair just for flat ironing in order not to dry your hair out. Well some people do some people don't. You don't want to "fry" your hair so if your going to do this read all the directions and don't start out at the highest temperture, start at the middle or a little past the middle point on the temperture control. Now take about a couple of inches of hair in your one hand and run the flat iron down that section once, see how that looks, you might have to do it again. See how long that takes to make it look straight. You might just do your whole head then go back and do it again. If it's not straightening very well then you might have to turn the temperature up some. You kinda just have to play around and see how it goes.

Also having naturally curly hair myself I've noticed something about flat ironing and "the weather". In the summer when its humid within an hour or so after flat ironing my hair and going outside....my hair will start to grow and get frizzy. And it doesn't matter if I have product in my hair to help this or not, I get the same results everytime. If it's hot out and you sweat or if you get caught in the rain.......forget it.....you'll start to frizz.

The one and only months that are good for those who have frizzy or natural curly hair is when it gets cooler out yup, the winter. I can flat iron my hair once and it will stay straight for 3 or 4 days in cooler weather.

Anyway..........good luck.

Does anyone know of a product that can straighten hair that is really curly?

I'm a black male and hve wanted my hair straight for a while but i don't know of any products that straighten hair(black peoples) do yall know of any?

Thanks!

Does anyone know of a product that can straighten hair that is really curly?

i use IC Serum.. its $8 can get anywhere (walmart..sallys.. cvs..walreen..echerd..target) it protects hair frmo heat and you put it in hair before you straighten it, and it will straighten better.. and put more in after you're done.. it prevents humidity from frizzing your hair back up.

What does it mean by applying egg yolk on hair?

I was reading a question that someone said if you apply egg yolk after you hair is wet and i was wondering what was the meaning of that?

=D

Thanks

Oh yea wats the best hair straightening product that prevents damage for your hair[[like cream applyed before getting yur hair straigtened]]....w/ something that prevents frizziness?

ok thnks!!

What does it mean by applying egg yolk on hair?

In the Victorian days they washed the hair with egg yolk. Since its protein it strengthens the hair.

Concerning straightening hair, my hair is culry/wavy/frizzy so I use Proclaim Glossing Polish with aloe, you can get it at Sally's. It's been great! It keeps my hair really straight, frizz free and very smooth for the whole day! Just apply a dime size (depending on how thick your hair is) in your hair, being careful not to get the roots because it will make your hair look greasy. Its about $5+, but it lasts a long time and its well worth it to get rid of the frizz!

What does it mean by applying egg yolk on hair?

The egg yolk is used to condition your hair and to add extra shine.

What does it mean by applying egg yolk on hair?

egg yolk was used by African Americans (the movie Malcom X) to neutralize hair straighteners in the 40s, 50s and 60s. It restores the natural ph balance to any hair by removing chemical treatments.

What does it mean by applying egg yolk on hair?

well, egg yolk is used to add moisture to your hair.

and as for the hair straightening product :

special effects instant straighten out.it straightens, smoothes, frizziness, and split ends

What does it mean by applying egg yolk on hair?

Eggs have protein, so this is often used as a protein treatment. However you have to be very care-full as too much protein can cause brittleness and breakage. You can tell if you need protein in your hair if your hair is gummy when wet or stretchy when combing or brushing.

As far as straightening products, one of my favorites are so sleek by matrix. It is a line meant to be used in succession with each other. Starting with Shampoo and ending with finishing styling products. Most professional products are set up this way, as to help prevent breakage or dryness. You should never just use one product especially when straightening hair, because of the amount of heat that the hair takes during this process, the products are absorbed much more quickly. However more is not always better, because you then get the gunky build up. It takes practice and balance.

Good luck and have a nice hair day.

What does it mean by applying egg yolk on hair?

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed %26amp; remove all frizz I promise,..... and it will be super shiny!!!!

The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower

You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.

I have bad hair fall. i lose a lot of hair and room is full of hair. i changed shampoo too. any idea

i had my hair straighten in december 2005 and after the had hair treatment but now the hair fall is bad. Everytime i wash my hair, the drain is full of a wool of hair. there is hair everywhere. i used to thick long hair. i hot oil masage once a week too. can someone adivse me? i changed shampoo too.

I have bad hair fall. i lose a lot of hair and room is full of hair. i changed shampoo too. any idea.?

See a hair specialist before you get bald.

I have bad hair fall. i lose a lot of hair and room is full of hair. i changed shampoo too. any idea.?

Sounds like something went very wrong. This has been going on for quite awhile and you should seek the advice of a doctor. Talk to your family doctor/general practitioner to be referred to the appropriate type of doctor. You should seek help soon before you've permanently damaged your hair growth/scalp.

I have bad hair fall. i lose a lot of hair and room is full of hair. i changed shampoo too. any idea.?

get checked by a dermatologist..u might be losing your hair so go get it done fast.u might be given pills. it's cool though if u prevent it. it is not about shampoos, it's about DNA

I have bad hair fall. i lose a lot of hair and room is full of hair. i changed shampoo too. any idea.?

Sorry to hear about your bad hair experience. Eat high protein and take a hair/skin/nails vitamin or a mega Biotin vitamin. Use shampoos and conditioners w/out sodium lauryeth (sp) which is basically for suds and not that great for problem hair. Wear wash/wear styles that don't require daily heat or chemicals.

I have bad hair fall. i lose a lot of hair and room is full of hair. i changed shampoo too. any idea.?

I used to have this problem too, but perhaps less serious than you. Try these:

1) Cut hair short. So that the weight won't pull your hair off. You probably have weak hair roots.

2) Wash hair with cold water. So it doesn't expand your hair pores. You may continue to bathe or shower with warm water after washing your hair.

3) Wash your hair bending down forward. Avoid washing your hair standing upright.

4) Do not be afraid to massage your scalp with your fingers while washing. Normal scratching on your scalp improves blood circulation.

It works for me, but then again, you might want to consult a hair specialist if you think it gets worse.

What's the best product to use on straightened hair??

This question is for my daughter. She straightens her hair about once a week. It gets frizzy kinda. What would you recommend? Sprays, creams etc. Her hair is naturally blonde and wavey. It's undyed. Thanks! :)

What's the best product to use on straightened hair??

Chi makes great products. I use a spray conditioner before I dry my hair, then use a spray in protectant spray before I straighten. Last they make a shine spray that usually tames the frizzies and makes hair look really healthy. Make sure she is protecting her hair, straightening irons get very hot and can damage hair quickly. My hair is similar 2 ur daughters except I color treat and Chi has by far given me the best results.

What's the best product to use on straightened hair??

Biosilk if her hair is medium to thick.

if its fine, thin, or oily try SAMY silk serum.

both are fantastic!

What's the best product to use on straightened hair??

use herbal essances shampoo and conditioner. there's a red bottle for frizzy hair. idk what it's called (sorry!). then use aussie heat protector and leave-in conditioner. hope that helps!

What's the best product to use on straightened hair??

any kind of palm-aid will work. also brilliance by avid will make her hair shiny and less frizzy.

What's the best product to use on straightened hair??

I would try using sunsilk shampoo and consitioner for the frizz

see if that might help her with her hair problem if not my niece has really curly hair and she gets it straightned once a month

oh I thik the de frizz collection is the BLUE sunsilk bottle

very expensive but it works for me I LOVE their shampoo conditioner and creams

What's the best product to use on straightened hair??

why on earth would she want to straighten wavy hair? Anyhow, tell her to try a conditioning and gel product in one. Paul Mitchell has one.

What type of protective heat to use to straighten hair?

i tried sraighten my hair with a flat iron after i gotten perm need to straighten hair really staight what type of heat protective to use to help staighten im afro american say it loud im black an im proud rip james brown

What type of protective heat to use to straighten hair?

I would rather you have a roller set...but if not...stay away from the hot comb and get a really good ceramci flat iron...now you ask so Conair, Relvon, or a cheap flat iron from Walmart and I say NO Chi (www.farouk.com), Sedu, Soilia, GHD,

check out folica.com

What type of protective heat to use to straighten hair?

I put some CHI Silk Infusion on my damp hair and work it all over my hair and then blow dry in sections. Then I use CHI Shine infusion thermal protector when i am flat ironing. My hair is in the best shape it has ever been.

What type of protective heat to use to straighten hair?

I use a ceramic flat iron and it is my new favorite thing! I only have to use it right after I shampoo and blow dry my hair if I wrap it properly each night. Make sure you purchase a good one though, some of them aren't as great as others!

What type of protective heat to use to straighten hair?

Hi, I'm African American too. I have been straightening my hair with Ceramic irons for the last 4 years. I grew my relaxer out 5years ago. The safest thing to do is to invest in a really good ceramic iron, i.e. Chi, Corolis(sp.?), or one that has uses ceramic plates infused with Tourmaline. I also suggest adding a light oil like Biosilk or Keracare thermal products to protect it from too much heat if you will be straightening it often. Good luck!

What type of protective heat to use to straighten hair?

I had heard really great things about Chi Iron Guard thermal spray by Farouk systems. But since I'm cheap, I bought the generic version at Sally's and I really like it. It really does protect your hair from the heat and moisturizers. Redken Smooth Down Heat Glide is nice, too (got it on sale). But out of the two, I prefer the cheapo version of the Chi Iron guard spray.

Confused hair??

I have naturally curly/ wavy hair. about 4 years ago i went to a salon to get my hair straightened. the stylist told me the only way i could keep my hair straight was to get a relaxer. i was 15 at the time and i did not know any better so i agreed. After 4 years of relaxing my hair i want to go back to my natural hair. i havent relaxed my hair since january 1 2007. i want to wear my hair curly. but only my roots curl and the ends are straight. how can i get every thing to curl and look natural?

Confused hair??

you could always have a perm i no everyone thinks perms are megga curly but you can choose the curlyness the thickness and the curl type you have

then when that grows out you be back to normal and can do anything else you want with it

Confused hair??

You are going to have to use products that promote curly hair depending on you ethnicity. or go to a salon and ask a hair dresser your question, but don't let her touch you.

Confused hair??

Unfortunately you have to let the relaxer grow out. Your hair forms habits just like you do. But to expedite this keep your hair extremely conditioned and moist, scalp massages are good to stimulate growth, and limit the use of heat. All of which should aid in the growing out of your hair. Big thing too is regular hair cuts, your hair may end up shorter but it is cutting out the relaxer and the dead ends promoting healthy hair.

Confused hair??

Until your natural hair comes in and replaces the hair you have now you will have to perm or curl your hair daily. the new growth will be your natural hair, but the hair that was processed before will not go back to its previous form, it has already been treated.

Confused hair??

once hair is relaxed you will have to let it grow and trim away the straight parts away over time. You can of course curl the hair with a curling iron or roller set it.What ever you do,do not perm(curly)over the relaxer! This will cause it to brake!!!

Confused hair??

Well, the ends are never going to just go back curly on their own. You are going to either have to use a curling iron or rollers to get curl in the relaxed parts. If you really want curls back, you might be able to get a curly perm for the ends of your hair. Your last option would be to cut off all the relaxed part (yes, your hair will be really short). Lots of African American women do this when they are tired of relaxing their hair and want to go back to their natural hair.

Confused hair??

i have been a hair dresser for 15 years and you are screwed you will have to wait untill it grows out sorry once you put a chemica in your hair you must wait till it grows out you can not counteract a chemical.

What is the best product and technique to straighten hair?

I have naturally curly hair which I like to straighten from time to time. How can I get it to look like it does out of the salon?? I don't want to permantly straighten it cuz I do like my curls too.

What is the best product and technique to straighten hair?

Use protective spray so that you dont end up really damaging your hair so that your beautiful curls end up looking ugly. Make sure when you buy a straightener that you get a ceramic one, they work the best. Then when you are done straightening use John Frieda Frizz-Ease Hair Serum to make sure your hair does not get frizzy.

What is the best product and technique to straighten hair?

there's a shampoo called Poker Straight..i'm sure that there are other similar hair products out there. or you could get a straightening iron. just don't use it that often or you'll get split ends. follow this up with a leave-on conditioner or water-based gel for a sleek look

What is the best product and technique to straighten hair?

my wife said chi flatiron and chi products thats what she uses

What is the best product and technique to straighten hair?

straightening cream

something from like john frieda or the new herbal essance straight shampoo.

(i dont know what it's called, sorry)

section your hair from top to bottom (about 4)

straighten from bottom to top

What is the best product and technique to straighten hair?

Wet to Straight flatening iron,

It wont give you split ends from using it everyday if you take care of your hair properly and know how to not fry your hair,

I have very thick hair so when I want mine straight I straighten it by layers, clipping my hair up and putting segments down to straighten at a time.

Alot of people with really curly hair say their hair doesnt straighten easily, but if you do small enough layers and hairspray it at the end, it will definetely stay. I dont recommend using 'straightening products', they dont work and they just damage your hair. Flat ironing is the most efficient way besides chemically straightening your hair.

What is the best product and technique to straighten hair?

you should get a conair hair straightener.. they're cheap and temporary..my hair is wavy and i straighten it and it stays straightened until i take a shower

How do I straighten my long wavy and kinky hair?

I'm an african american and as most people know we have very wavy and kinky hair. my hair is about to the middle of my back and I wanted to know what kind of flat iron is good to use when straightening my hair and also what products would be good to use to remove frizz. The goal i'm trying to acheive with my hair is to have it straight smooth and and kind of glossy looking, like aaliyah's hair(if you've seen her hair then you know what i'm talking about). any suggestions?

How do I straighten my long wavy and kinky hair?

GHD straightners, i couldnt live withut mine... there fab!!

How do I straighten my long wavy and kinky hair?

they're** Report It

How do I straighten my long wavy and kinky hair?

get it chemically straightened. or you could by those hair relaxer kits at walmart in the hair care aisle. Personally, i wouldn't straighten it. I'd volumize it. Big volume is in this season.

How do I straighten my long wavy and kinky hair?

i would always recommended ghd straighteners, they are expensive but fantastic!!! i know also over heere in the UK boots have launched this new straightening kit, costs 15 pound and takes about 2 hours to do, but supposed to give fantastic results take a look:

http://www.boots.com/shop/category_new_t...

How do I straighten my long wavy and kinky hair?

hot iron

How do I straighten my long wavy and kinky hair?

The only ones that work on my hair is the Remington 'wet 2 straight'. A lot of people with what I call 'normal hair' who just want it poker straight don't find them useful, but for kinky, frizzy hair they seem to be brilliant.

How do I straighten my long wavy and kinky hair?

The CHI straightener by Farouk, you can find them on eBay! They use them in the salons, run about $70 on eBay but retail for like $160. I tried my girls after she kept raving about it, all my friends love it, any hair type works and you can get them in a few different sizes!

How do I straighten my long wavy and kinky hair?

I have the same hair type..I use a big round brush and blow dryer followed by a flat iron made by conair, the "infiniti". It REALLY WORKS WELL!! It has heat settings, which will give you more choices. I also use either "Biosilk- silk therapy" by Farouk, or "zero frizz", not sure who makes it..just go to zerofrizz.com. You are guaranteed to have the results you desire w/ my method..trust me!! I have dark brown hair..and when I am done styling..it is shiny and glossy!! Good Luck!!

How do I straighten my long wavy and kinky hair?

use proclaim products, its a gel used to get rid of frizz, i have been using it lately, and it works perfectly. Get them from sallys beauty shops.

Go to a salon first and have them treat it, this will help you for the future when you do your hair yourself, and then get the same flat iron they are using on your hair. I did this, and i have the salon look everyday w/ also the glossy look.

How do I straighten my long wavy and kinky hair?

I agree with Kreatives. the CHI is the best iron, i have long coarse hair too and it works wonders!

How do I straighten my long wavy and kinky hair?

For dry hair pls try these hot oil massages....they will help in maintaing the natural sheen of your hair and will also condition your hair:

Hot oil massages: Warm 2 tsp. of olive oil and 2 tsp. coconut oil and gently massage every part of the scalp for 10-15 minutes. Rinse a towel in hot water, wipe and wind the hair around the head as it cools. Repeat 2 or 3 times to issue total saturation. After that, shampoo and rinse well. It is good for brittle dry hair.

Hot Caster oil massage: Warm 闄?cup of castor oil, massage into scalp and gently comb it. Bind the hair with hot towel on the head, wait for 30 minutes. Shampoo and rinse. As it is home made is so good to use for scanty hair.

Clove oil honey massage. Stir well 闄?cup of green olive oil with 1 cup of liquid honey. Shake vigorously. Keep the mixture to settle for a day or two. Massage into the scalp and comb it not touching the scalp. After massaging cover hair with plastic shower cap. Make it air tight to let the heat penetrate, leave like that for 20 to 30 minutes. Then shampoo and rinse well. It is good for dark hair to keep it shining and lustrous.

Take care

How do I straighten my long wavy and kinky hair?

How do I straighten my long wavy and kinky hair?

GHD

They're around 鎷?00 but they are worth your money

plus you hair will stay straight untill the next wash

How do I straighten my long wavy and kinky hair?

Well, my hair is all natural/nappy and I can flat iron it bone straight. I would wash my hair then condition it as usual. Apply a bit of olive oil to your hair. You can either blow dry it with a comb attachment or let it air dry in plaits like I do. Afterwards, divide your hair into four sections. Work within the sections using very thin layers of hair at a time using a ceramic plate flat iron. I purchased one from target.com for $14.99 under the 'select brands' label and it's wonderful!

dove shampoo. or even if u dont have dandruff, head and shoulders for straight hair

Really curly and frizzy hair!!?

there is this line of products called studio line by Lorelle Paris and it has stuff like De-frizz and straightener gel.It works really good!!!!

Really curly and frizzy hair!!?

John Frieda frizz ease has a shampoo and conditioner that is for straight styles that works really well. It doesnt automatically straighten your hair, but it gets the process started. First thing you can do is get a hair cut. You dont have to chop it all off, but a good healthy trim is always good. If your hair is long, get long layers. Then use John Frieda's straightening spray...this helps a lot too.

Really curly and frizzy hair!!?

you can put straightening gel in your hair when its damp (i use tresemme themal creations) then blowdry your hair straight with a big round brush. try looking for one with metal so the heat can reach all off your strands. also brush little at a time, be patient. you may need a anti-frizz serum (try frizz-ease)

T3 Tourmaline wet-dry hair straighteners?

hair color, hair straightening bad for pregnant women?

Is it true tha hair coloring is bad for pregnant women?

My Dr. told me hair coloring was totally safe.

Is it true tha hair coloring is bad for pregnant women?

Is it true tha hair coloring is bad for pregnant women?

Hi,

i asked my midwife if it was safe to colour my hair and she said yes..I also got it done i few times at the hairdressers when i was pregnant and my hairdresser was also pregnant and she said it was fine to do it.So i dyed my hair during my 1st 2nd n nw my 3rd pregnancy.i also straighten my hair everyday i dont think it can do anything it just makes my hair very dry...

Is it true tha hair coloring is bad for pregnant women?

There are different opinions on this subject. I would ask how your doctor feels. I have heard that using semi perm color is best while expecting due to the chemicals. The problem associated with hair dye is respiratory problems with the baby.

I personal have colored my hair, but try to wait and not do it often. I also limit how much I put on my hair. I do touch ups.

Can anyone help me with my frizzy hair?

i have extreamly frizzy and curly hair. i dont mind my hair being curly, but i hate it being frizzy! i think ive tried everything. ive tried getting my hair relaxed, purmed, straightened, everything! the only thing that seems to work is getting my hair straightened but it dry's my hair out really bad and then my hair feels like straw. then i put creme rinse im my hair and then it gets frizzy again! and plus i dont enjoy straighting my hair every single day. can anyone help me?

Can anyone help me with my frizzy hair?

ok listen up. the same thing happened to me.

this will take about two weeks and I highly recommend

you getting the book Curly Girl. Anyways, here is what you do. DON'T USE SHAMPOO!! ok. shampoo has harsh detergents that could harm curly hair. condition your hair every day. and when you get out of the shower put gel on it and scrunch. then you either go about your day and don't touch it or use a blow dryer with a diffuser. Good Luck!

Can anyone help me with my frizzy hair?

That's just the way your hair naturaly is. Just let it be. Or shave it all off what have you.

Can anyone help me with my frizzy hair?

Aveda brilliant smoothing pomade... it's in a tube or a tub. Expensive, but smells good... very incense-y.

Can anyone help me with my frizzy hair?

Have you tried shaving your head? Might be a good look.

Can anyone help me with my frizzy hair?

Go to a beauty salon or even a drugstore. There's tons of anti-frizz products like shampoo and conditioner and other things.

Can anyone help me with my frizzy hair?

I used a Redkin brand anti-frizz serum, I dont remember what it's called.

run it through my hair while it's still damp %26amp; I usually air dry, but it works with blow drying too. Cuts the frizz dramatically.... curly hair can almost never get rid of all the frizz, but make sure you're conditioning regularly, and using a good product for your hair.

Can anyone help me with my frizzy hair?

ok well first of all NEVER use antifrizz lotion or shampoo it gets it worse. after u wash ur hair just use a heat protection spray or mousse and then blow dry and straighten but it may take long but there are great results.

Can anyone help me with my frizzy hair?

use a lot of conditioner mainly Panteene (green bottle) extra starignthen, as shampoo use Sunsilk (blue bottle), as a cream use Garnier Extra shine to keep it from getting dry

hope this helps

Can anyone help me with my frizzy hair?

Ouidad.com. It's specifically for curly hair. They have great products and think about getting the cut.

Can anyone help me with my frizzy hair?

I have the same problem with my hair. Try using a different shampoo...most of them contain strong detergents. Also, your water could be part of the problem because of all the chemicals. I now use Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight (pin straight) conditioner and shampoo. Comes in bright pink bottles. It's great. Also try a spray-on, leave-in detangler like Daily Care by Joico. You can get it at a salon or beauty outlet store.

Can anyone help me with my frizzy hair?

My hair is curly too! I hate it! I am sorry you are going through this. It seems that you have already damaged your hair so much,it is beyong repair. I think you may have to cut it shorter, or keep up with cuts while all of the treatments in your hair grows out. In the meantime, it sucks, but we have to find a way to love our curls and work with them. The trick to curly hair is moisture. I strongly recommend you call in the experts to work with you. Try OUIDAD.COM, she offers the best stuff for curly hair. Stop trying to work against your curls! Just accept them and work with them! I am sure they will appreciate that!

Can anyone help me with my frizzy hair?

Just brush it or dip it in hot wax then run outside and sing to a cat

Can anyone help me with my frizzy hair?

use frizz-ease "secret weapon"

heres a pic of wat it looks like: http://www.beautydirect.co.nz/product_im... its just a creme that u can use on dry hair. u can get it at ne grocery or drug store....target too

Can anyone help me with my frizzy hair?

You could try to use coconut oil in in your hair right before bed as a form of moisturising, then tying your hair with a silk scarf/ headtie (to maintain the moisture, and so its not left on your pillowcase). You can style the next morning or rinse the oil out if you choose.

It is also recommended that you try not to wash your hair more than 2 or 3 times a week, as this can remove all the natural oils from your hair (leaving it dry and frizzy).

You should also try to use a leave-in treatment once a week for your hair (such as infusium), as this can stop breaking and frizzing too. Try not to over- process or blow dry and straighten your hair too nuch, as this could lead to not only frizzyness, but split ends as well

Hope these tips help!

Can anyone help me with my frizzy hair?

use conditioner and brush your hair while the conditioners in.Most importantly, NEVER brush your hair hard, no yanking. brush it gently from the bottom up

Can anyone help me with my frizzy hair?

the hair spry rely does have a smell tho but it smells relyy!!!good!like candy and it does NOT make your hair gressie looking like the other products you can buy at the stor for frizzy hair

Can anyone help me with my frizzy hair?

I have very curly, fizzy hair too. I stopped trying to straighten it, especially in the summer because it was a losing battle. Matrix has a straightener which does not eliminate the curl but calms down the bulk and smooths frizz. I do not remember what it was called (Smooth Operator?) or something to that effect. You should ask your hairdresser about that. I use a curl enhancing shampoo and conditioner made by L'Oreal (available in salons). I also mix a gel with Biosilk Silk Therapy---which is along the lines of frizz ease but it distributes much more evenly along the hair shaft and softens your hair. Once or twice a week I use a re constructor made by Ojon (Sephora). It is an amazing product that repairs , tames the frizz and bulk and imparts shine. Hope this helps.

Is it possible to have permenant straightened hair?

What I am trying to say is after yu have straightened your hair, can yu keep it permernantly straight without ever useing the straightener again?

Is it possible to have permenant straightened hair?

My sister in law went to the salon and had them do the Japanese straightening system so it's permanently straightened. It changes the bonds in your hair. I want to get mine done too. I rely on a flat iron everyday.

Is it possible to have permenant straightened hair?

no even though i have a perm if i dont straighten it or blow dry it it will become an afro or curl

Is it possible to have permenant straightened hair?

wear a wig with straight hair

Is it possible to have permenant straightened hair?

if you are born with straight hair... but i dont think if you have your hair done to be straight it wont last. (unless someone has done it and it was actually permenent)

Is it possible to have permenant straightened hair?

The part of your hair that you have already straightened will stay straight but as you hair grows it will come back the way it was before you straightened it. Sorry.

Is it possible to have permenant straightened hair?

YES it is I had to done last summer it doesnt work to well so if your looking to do dont get the straighten hair one get the Japanese Permenant it works so much better! Good Luck

My hair is naturally dry/wavy/dull?

My hair is naturally dry/wavy/dull?

my hair use to be like that first i cut it in layer

or just cut the ends

i use the john frida collection it really worksit makes your hair smell good and it keeps it very smooth

My hair is naturally dry/wavy/dull?

Marcia Brazilian conditioners are wonderful. This conditioner will make your hair shiny and soft and beautiful IF you can find a salon that carries it.

Unfortunately, some salons will only sell it to you if you've had the Brazilian straightening procedure done at their salon. However, If you call around, you'll find a place that will sell it to you. I'm fairly certain these products can be purchased online as well as in salons.

I always straighten my hair with an iron and I'm dying it today?

I was wondering if previously straightening my hair the same day, might somehow mess up the dying processes.

I'm sure my hair will be completely destroyed but will it have any effect on the color or something stupid like that?

I always straighten my hair with an iron and I'm dying it today?

wash your hair with bleach and water before you get it died. This will remove impurities.

I always straighten my hair with an iron and I'm dying it today?

straighting or curling or blow drying it regualy will make the dye fade quicker

I always straighten my hair with an iron and I'm dying it today?

It doesn't make a difference if you straightened it today or yesterday. Since you've been doing it for a long time, your hairs are dry and the pores have enlarged so the color doesn't always stick properly.

If you used some styling products, that might also affect the dying process.

Your hair should be free of chemicals, and not to clean. Hair conditionner makes it slipper and the color won't adhere very well

I always straighten my hair with an iron and I'm dying it today?

ok do not do what one person said with water and bleach. and no the iron will not mess up the color process. If it did no one would have nice hair color...

What is the best way to straighten hair fast?

i have curly hair like this--%26gt; http://www.freshlookhair.com/members/681... and i was wondering how to straighten it fast ..i have skool in the morning at like 7 so i dont want a long routine right now i am blowdrying it straight then i am using a straighteng iron but it takes so long is there any other way?

What is the best way to straighten hair fast?

The fastest way is basically...you guessed it...a hair straightener. But something you might want to look into for the future is a chemical hair straightener. Beauty supply stores will not sell it to anyone without a beautition's license, but go to a hair salon and get it done if you think that your hair is out-of-control-curly. It stays in for quite some time, so it'll end up cutting your primping time in half.

What is the best way to straighten hair fast?

My best friend has hair like yours. What she does is wash her hair at night before bed and blow dry it straight. Then in the morning you can shower just dont get your hair wet while in the shower. then straighten with a flat iron in the morning after your shower.

What is the best way to straighten hair fast?

well i know there are straighteners on the market that you can use on wet hair and it dries it while straightening but i have never personally used one so i dont know if its good or not. ive tried those really nice $100+ straighteners and those work really well but then thats you're up to paying that much

What is the best way to straighten hair fast?

o u and me sista!!

curly hair... chi is the best straightener!

it doesnt take a long time at all!

it cut down my straightening time from like... two hours to about 1 hour or 45 min!!

How do you straighten your hair pin straight without it looking frizzy?

My hair is always frizzy and lame whenever i try straightening it. i think that its how i straighten it not my straighter.. what are some step-by-step instructions on getting pin-straight hair?

How do you straighten your hair pin straight without it looking frizzy?

I have very very curly hair. If I was it and add jel and air dry it turns out kinky. In the past I've tried to straighten it and just ended up with a great big puffy frizzy ball. The trick is all in the product and the flat iron. Heat matters!!!!

I have to seperate my hair into very small sections. Use a very fine toothed comb and comb each section before and right behind the flat iron. One time over each section isn't enough to get all the curl out. A heat protectant silk spray also helps.

It takes patience, lots of patience. But it can be done.

How do you straighten your hair pin straight without it looking frizzy?

Read some hair straightening tips and more on this site to help you with it

How do you straighten your hair pin straight without it looking frizzy?

First use straightening balm, Matrix has a great balm, blow dry it straight with a vent brush, then spray some heat protectant on it that protects and also straightens so it doesn't get frizzy use some shine spray after your done to tame the frizzies and add awesome shine, the Matrix line you want is called "Sleek Look". you will love it!

How do you straighten your hair pin straight without it looking frizzy?

First: Use a heat protector on your hair. Make sure you get it EVERYWHERE.

Then seperate your hair into layers. If you want really straight hair, try going for 3 or 4 layers. Just leave a small amount of hair at the bottom and pin the rest of it up. Let some down once you've straightened each layer.

Spray some hairspray or wax on it, and your good to go!

How do you straighten your hair pin straight without it looking frizzy?

Use Matrix Sleek Look shampoo and conditioner. Blow dry you hair with a big round brush, by sections. Then use a flat iron. Make sure you are conditioning your hair, if it's dry and damaged it will be frizzy. Biolage have great leave in conditioners, and if they are not leave in, just leave it in. That's what my stylist recommend; it will give your hair more time o absorb the nutrients and style as usual.

How do you straighten your hair pin straight without it looking frizzy?

i used to have similar problems until i realized when i did my hair mattered a lot. do you wash and blow dry then straighten? wash, let air dry for a little bit, blow dry about half way, add a little product like silk therapy or something else that is salon quality, then blow dry all the way. give more volume do it upside down. then comb and straighten small chunks at a time starting as close to the root as possible. works for me.

How do you straighten your hair pin straight without it looking frizzy?

Ceramic flat iron. The one I use is HAI brand. Kinda pricey but sometimes you can get one on sale at a beauty supply store like Sally's.

How do you straighten your hair pin straight without it looking frizzy?

I have pin -straight hair and to make it not go frizzy i use BIOSILK and iron it with CTI iron ( u can but it from JC PENNY) the biosilk is like 30 dollars a bottle and the straighter is $ 125 but for now just buy the biosilk it really does work. i always use it and the bottle lasts for like 7 month depend how much u pay, and if u don't find it in Jc Penny try and SALONS near by its very famous lol

What is a better way to straighten hair ...?

Should you use a hair straightener when your hair is wet/damp or when it's dry?

I am new to hair straightening, any tips would be great!

Should you use a hair straightener when your hair is wet/damp or when it's dry?

You should do it when it's dry so it doesn't burn your hair. There are a couple of straighteners out there now that can do it while your hair is wet, and they're not that bad. I use one called Remington Wet 2 Straight and I am soo happy with this straightener. I've used a lot of them and this is a great one for a great price. Here's a pic and some info on the straightener.

http://www.remington-products.com/hairca...

Hope this helps!

Should you use a hair straightener when your hair is wet/damp or when it's dry?

completely dry

Should you use a hair straightener when your hair is wet/damp or when it's dry?

dry and use a heat protectant!!

Should you use a hair straightener when your hair is wet/damp or when it's dry?

When it's dry. Otherwise you'll seriously mess up your hair, and it'll eventually get really dry, brittle, and frizzy

Should you use a hair straightener when your hair is wet/damp or when it's dry?

I'd say to use the cream when it's damp, and reapply when it's dry if needed. If you're talking about a metal straightener, make sure your hair is dry.

Should you use a hair straightener when your hair is wet/damp or when it's dry?

NO WAY. unless the straightener is meant for wet hair. so dry all the way, not even damp. hope this helps %26amp; good luck with it! =] 閳?br>Should you use a hair straightener when your hair is wet/damp or when it's dry?

use it when your hair is dry. it's not good to use it when your hair is wet or damp.

Should you use a hair straightener when your hair is wet/damp or when it's dry?

dry it first

Should you use a hair straightener when your hair is wet/damp or when it's dry?

Use it when it's 100% dry because if you use it when it's wet you will damage your hair.

Should you use a hair straightener when your hair is wet/damp or when it's dry?

don't straighten it when its wet or damp.....when it's dry i straighen it or i use a tamer to keep it sleek if its really really dry and nasty and puffy

Should you use a hair straightener when your hair is wet/damp or when it's dry?

definitely when it's dry!

Should you use a hair straightener when your hair is wet/damp or when it's dry?

Are you using chemicals or an iron? If chemicals, read the directions and follow them; if using an iron, do it dry.

Should you use a hair straightener when your hair is wet/damp or when it's dry?

when its completely dry, when its wet theres more of a chance of frying ur hair

Should you use a hair straightener when your hair is wet/damp or when it's dry?

That's cool. I recommend it completely dry, if it is wet it can damage your hair.

Should you use a hair straightener when your hair is wet/damp or when it's dry?

You shoudnt straighten your hair when its wet because it burns it more and you can hear it sizzle. I like to straighten my hair when its dry and you should also use a heat styling gel so it will protect your hair from getting so burned

Should you use a hair straightener when your hair is wet/damp or when it's dry?

when its dry or your hair will sizzle when its wet

thats what happens to me atliest

Should you use a hair straightener when your hair is wet/damp or when it's dry?

Depends if they are for use with wet or dry hair you can get them 4 both x

Should you use a hair straightener when your hair is wet/damp or when it's dry?

It's best to do it dry, Unless you have a wet hair straightener...and also buy MOISTURIZER!!! =]

Should you use a hair straightener when your hair is wet/damp or when it's dry?

i straighten mine everyday, and i straighten it when it is dry because if it was wet/damp it makes a sizzling sound and the hair gets dried out and frizzy. also i use a moistening shampoo (aussie moist) to add moisture and i also use a heat protectant spray to add a heat shield and to protect split ends and frizzyness..... : )

Should you use a hair straightener when your hair is wet/damp or when it's dry?

there are some straighteners that say wet to dry if yours does not say that then while its wet apply a few drops of surum to sections of your hair aviod your roots then blow dry completly then straighten

Should you use a hair straightener when your hair is wet/damp or when it's dry?

It should be 100% dry. There are straighteners that you can use when your hair is wet but they're clearly labels 'Wet to Set' or something similar. When I straighten my hair I take a clip and pull up most of my hair and just let it down in sections. That you you don't miss a spot.

Should you use a hair straightener when your hair is wet/damp or when it's dry?

It has to be completely dry!! And I wolud use some type of straightening or heat protectant so it doesnt damage your hair. If you attempt to straighten your hair while it is wet, it will damage your hair and the steam produced from your wet hair meeting the hot iron can burn and blister your scalp!!

Should you use a hair straightener when your hair is wet/damp or when it's dry?

not unless you have a wet/dry straightener, even then avoid straightening wet hair. it ruins it. never leave the straightener on your hair for too long, just because there are 25 settings doesnt mean you have to use the hottest one, see which one works best with your hair. dont straighten it too much, your hair will look flat. put half your hair up in a pony tail, and straighten the bottom half of your hair, then tie the bottom half of your hair up, and let the top half down and then straighten that, so you get all of your hair straight evenly. dont burn yourself. =]

Should you use a hair straightener when your hair is wet/damp or when it's dry?

Girl. NO! I have very curly hair, so trust me on this. DO NOT USE A STRAIGHTENER WHEN IT IT STILL WET OR DAMP! I don't even recommend using those stupid straighteners that you can supposedly dry/straighten your hair at the same time. It will kill your hair. You need to buy a spray (Heat Protectant) and lightly spray your damp hair, COMPLETELY dry it and then throw the straightener to it. Good luck!

Should you use a hair straightener when your hair is wet/damp or when it's dry?

u should iron it when it is completly dry or else it will damage ur hair badly. also use hot straight by loreal paris to prevent heat damage and try not to do it that often

Should you use a hair straightener when your hair is wet/damp or when it's dry?

Do it when it is completely dry and once your done use either Nexus Maxxishine Anti-frizz %26amp; shine spray or John Freda's Frizz ease serum to give you a finished look

Should you use a hair straightener when your hair is wet/damp or when it's dry?

definitely dry.

not damp or even slightly wet when you use it unless the straighter is meant fer that.

oh and use a heat protectant. i use aussie hair insurance and it works just fine.

Should you use a hair straightener when your hair is wet/damp or when it's dry?

COMPLETLY DRY SOME OF THE STRAIGHTENERS THAT SAY WET TO STRAIT DONT WORK

WHEN UR DONE STTRAIGHTENING ASK SOMEONE TO SRAIGHTEN SOME IN THE BACK FRO A FLAWLESS STRAIGHTEN THEN ADD FINISHING SPRAY TRY HERBAL ESSENCES

Should you use a hair straightener when your hair is wet/damp or when it's dry?

Oh my goodness the best tip for straightening your hair without damaging it is to never ever ever straighten your hair when it is damp or wet. This will fry your hair and break of the ends or tips of your hair. Even if you straighten your hair when it is dry (which i do) you should put a heat protection sprtiz on it to keep your hair safe.

Should you use a hair straightener when your hair is wet/damp or when it's dry?

hair should dry when straitening other it will damage your hair and your stratener unless you wet straigner that can straiten hair when it is wet

Should you use a hair straightener when your hair is wet/damp or when it's dry?

nice n wet
