straightening is bad for your hair regardless, so that and no conditioner will make it static, plus using volumisers make it worse. Use a diffuser if you blow dry your hair with the ceramic straightener too.

A lot of the time static has nothing to do with what you do to your hair, but the weather. If it's really dry the air creates static.

I think it's from the straight-iron, cuz that happens to my hair also. Try using this creme called "Frizz-Ease" by john Frieda. you put it on dry hair after starightening. It makes your hair soft and shiny. I get alot of compliments about my hair cuz it looks naturally staright and fine.
