i had a perm and didnt want it anymore so i straightened my hair the same way i curled it...all you do it buy perm solution and out ti in your hair and brush it with a comb for about 10 min. then let it set and wash it out and it should be straight it worked for me and im not sure what its called sorry! it lasts...im not sure how long if you have natually curly hair...and my hair is still growing fine- hope i helped!!!!

Japanese straight perm. Had it done 4 times already. No damage. My hair is a little dryer than it used to be though. You have to condition well. If you have VERY curly hair, your hair WILL grow back funny, just picture it--tight curls at the roots and then straight. Luckily I have wavy hair so the top grows out kinda wavy, but I just blow dry the top straight now. No big deal. Been 8 months, I'm going to get it redone in2 months. I lOVE it.

its expensive. if u do get a straight perm, u MUST keep ur hair dry and outta water for 48 hours. if u get it wet, it ruins the whole thing. it works because after i got it, my hair was silky smoothe and straight.
