I just got my hair permed professionally, is it safe to straighten it at any point?

I obviously don't want to straighten it just yet because I just got it done. But say if I do it like a week or so from now will straightening my hair ruin the chance of my perm lasting longer? I would probably use a straightener or my hair dryer to straighten it.

It doesn't effect how long it lasts- i waited about 2 weeks and then started straightening mine and it was great- i could style my hair differently every day of the week!!! lol but yes straightening is fine- just make sure to use a straightening serum of some kinda and heat protectant and it'll be great

yes it safe ..my sister just permed her hair and she still straightens it..but just to be safe i would wait a couple days after the perm to straighten it but yeah its deff. ok

Yes. it is safe to straighten ur hair after the perm. even if it's the same day.

yea its definitly safe to be straightend, i think you should wait though for maybe about a week or 2, just to double check you wont ruin it already. my question.. what would you even have gotten a perm for if you are going to turn around and staighten it right back out? thats friggin crazy! mega waste of money. you probably already had straight hair.

JUST BECUASE U GOT A PERM DOSEN'T MEAN U CAN'T STRAIGHTEN YOUR HAIR AT ANY TIME. JUST AS LONG AS YOU DON'T STRAIGHTEN YOUR HAIR ALL THE TIME WITH A LOT OF HEAT. CAUSE A LOT HEAT CAN DAMAGED A PERSON'S HAIR. BUT YOU CAN STILL STRAIGHTEN YOUR HAIR ANY TIME YOU WANT TO. : )
