Please do not bother saying 'stop straightening your hair' don't bother - I will not, looking good with slightly dry hair is better than looking awful with good condition hair- and i dry it with a hairdryer every time i wash it. Although i do try to use a cool setting it takes forever to dry my hair use i use a warm setting as opposed to hot as i'm usually in a rush to get ready. My hair is naturally brown but is currently light sandy blonde and is fine-medium (I'm scottish and white) not course. I really need some good tips to help get some moisture back into it as i feel since i went blonde and as i use straighteners every day its gotten drier. I'm considering getting it chemically straightened as my hair -while not curly not wavy- has a slight curl to it so when i dry it I seem to take ages straightening it and wondered whether it is better in the long run to get it straightened chemically or just keep straightening it every day? Sorry this is sooo long :( Thanks everyone xXx

you will see the consequences. just use more conditioner, and shampoo. yes, get it chemically straightened, and dont use the products they give you because it just gets it curlier so you have to go in and get it straightened more often.

every once in a while do a hot oil treatment and your hair will stay moisturized. you can fin d hot oil in wal mart hair aisle its a little tube of oil that you sit in a cup of hot water for a while then put it in your hair with a shower cap over top leave the shower cap on for about 5 minutes and washh your hair regular. it should help

yes, unfortunately, straightening your hair will even break your hair eventually.. why don't you blow it straight and for conditioning, try leaving in a conditioner overnight and in the shower, put conditioner in and then shampoo, then put conditioner in again. also use the leave in spray conditioner

DONT USE ANY CHEMICALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If your hair is already dry chemicals will make it way worse. And as for shampoo and conditioner try something made for dry hair like sunsilk hydra tlc.

Ok, I got my hair chemically straightened, I got good comments on my hair, I loved how it looked, it made me feel good and it felt great. But it's WAY too expensive, it lasts until your hair grows and you lose you touch. Chemically straightening DOES dry hair, however, especially if dyed.
I straighten my hair every few days, and I wash just about every day. I alternate the shampoos and conditioners I use, to keep my hair stay healthy. Also, I use various conditioning sprays while drying my hair (I suggest this product http://www.ulta.com/control/product/~pro... as well as this one http://www.walgreens.com/store/product.j... ). Also, I start with the hot setting on my dryer to get it to dry faster and it also sets it better then I use the cold setting afterwards and it gives it a softer feel. Also, using the straightening iron dries out your hair so, I advise using it less like, 3-5 times a week and start using a straightening comb (like these ones here http://www.become.com/shop?q=straighteni... ) more often.
Buena suerte

u will need good conditioners and shampoos. i hate to tell u somethin u already know, but i am soooo sorry, but the straighten is what is dryin out your hair, its almost like going to the beauty salon everyday and have them curl and heat the hair everyday!!!! that is definitely what is damaging your hair from root to tip. i say go with the chemical relaxer but u will have to keep it oiled and stay away from the heat because the re;axers make the haor fragile and u dont want to wake up wit ya hair in the bed and not attached to ya head

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.
First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)
Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)
Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)
Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed %26amp; remove all frizz I promise,..... and it will be super shiny!!!!
The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower
You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.
