Right - I straighten my hair EVERY day and wash it every 2-3 days. I need to get moisture back into

Please do not bother saying 'stop straightening your hair' don't bother - I will not, looking good with slightly dry hair is better than looking awful with good condition hair- and i dry it with a hairdryer every time i wash it. Although i do try to use a cool setting it takes forever to dry my hair use i use a warm setting as opposed to hot as i'm usually in a rush to get ready. My hair is naturally brown but is currently light sandy blonde and is fine-medium (I'm scottish and white) not course. I really need some good tips to help get some moisture back into it as i feel since i went blonde and as i use straighteners every day its gotten drier. I'm considering getting it chemically straightened as my hair -while not curly not wavy- has a slight curl to it so when i dry it I seem to take ages straightening it and wondered whether it is better in the long run to get it straightened chemically or just keep straightening it every day? Sorry this is sooo long :( Thanks everyone xXx

there is this book in the teens section for hair at barnes and noble. its called hair trix for cool chicks or something like that when i get home i will tell you the name. it tells u how to add mostiure in your hair and everything

Right - I straighten my hair EVERY day and wash it every 2-3 days. I need to get moisture back into my hair!!?

you will see the consequences. just use more conditioner, and shampoo. yes, get it chemically straightened, and dont use the products they give you because it just gets it curlier so you have to go in and get it straightened more often.

Right - I straighten my hair EVERY day and wash it every 2-3 days. I need to get moisture back into my hair!!?

i wouldn't get it chemically straightened.

Right - I straighten my hair EVERY day and wash it every 2-3 days. I need to get moisture back into my hair!!?

every once in a while do a hot oil treatment and your hair will stay moisturized. you can fin d hot oil in wal mart hair aisle its a little tube of oil that you sit in a cup of hot water for a while then put it in your hair with a shower cap over top leave the shower cap on for about 5 minutes and washh your hair regular. it should help

Right - I straighten my hair EVERY day and wash it every 2-3 days. I need to get moisture back into my hair!!?

yes, unfortunately, straightening your hair will even break your hair eventually.. why don't you blow it straight and for conditioning, try leaving in a conditioner overnight and in the shower, put conditioner in and then shampoo, then put conditioner in again. also use the leave in spray conditioner

Right - I straighten my hair EVERY day and wash it every 2-3 days. I need to get moisture back into my hair!!?

get a moisturizing shampoo.

Right - I straighten my hair EVERY day and wash it every 2-3 days. I need to get moisture back into my hair!!?

DONT USE ANY CHEMICALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If your hair is already dry chemicals will make it way worse. And as for shampoo and conditioner try something made for dry hair like sunsilk hydra tlc.

Right - I straighten my hair EVERY day and wash it every 2-3 days. I need to get moisture back into my hair!!?

Try a leave in conditioner atleast once a month. Get a reconstructor put in your hair as well

Right - I straighten my hair EVERY day and wash it every 2-3 days. I need to get moisture back into my hair!!?

get a hot oil treatment. and use a ton of really expensive conditioner and leave it in your hair for 15 minutes

Right - I straighten my hair EVERY day and wash it every 2-3 days. I need to get moisture back into my hair!!?

Ok, I got my hair chemically straightened, I got good comments on my hair, I loved how it looked, it made me feel good and it felt great. But it's WAY too expensive, it lasts until your hair grows and you lose you touch. Chemically straightening DOES dry hair, however, especially if dyed.

I straighten my hair every few days, and I wash just about every day. I alternate the shampoos and conditioners I use, to keep my hair stay healthy. Also, I use various conditioning sprays while drying my hair (I suggest this product http://www.ulta.com/control/product/~pro... as well as this one http://www.walgreens.com/store/product.j... ). Also, I start with the hot setting on my dryer to get it to dry faster and it also sets it better then I use the cold setting afterwards and it gives it a softer feel. Also, using the straightening iron dries out your hair so, I advise using it less like, 3-5 times a week and start using a straightening comb (like these ones here http://www.become.com/shop?q=straighteni... ) more often.

Buena suerte

Right - I straighten my hair EVERY day and wash it every 2-3 days. I need to get moisture back into my hair!!?

u will need good conditioners and shampoos. i hate to tell u somethin u already know, but i am soooo sorry, but the straighten is what is dryin out your hair, its almost like going to the beauty salon everyday and have them curl and heat the hair everyday!!!! that is definitely what is damaging your hair from root to tip. i say go with the chemical relaxer but u will have to keep it oiled and stay away from the heat because the re;axers make the haor fragile and u dont want to wake up wit ya hair in the bed and not attached to ya head

Right - I straighten my hair EVERY day and wash it every 2-3 days. I need to get moisture back into my hair!!?

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed %26amp; remove all frizz I promise,..... and it will be super shiny!!!!

The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower

You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.

Help with hair.?

I've got curly, unruly, just above the shoulder hair. I want to get it cut, keeping it the same length, but a different style. I wear my hair straightened and curly so I want a stylish style that looks good both way. Any suggestions?

Help with hair.?

you should keep the same length and get it layered and straightened!

How to Straighten my Hair without any using hair products. . .?

look!. . . my hair is so thin and i want my hair to straighten and relax w/o using any hair products. . .thats really my big problem. . .

How to Straighten my Hair without any using hair products. . .?

Dry well using a hair dyer. While doing it, pull the hair straight out and keep it that way till it dries.

If it is thin, you need to have a good protein diet. Also feed hair directly with an egg once a month at least. Oil it too alternately.

How to Straighten my Hair without any using hair products. . .?

Bend over and blow dry your hair. I know it sounds funny but it works.

How to Straighten my Hair without any using hair products. . .?

hair straightner or you could ask a local hairdresser

How to Straighten my Hair without any using hair products. . .?

Blow dry your hair using a vent brush and pulling the hair with the brush using the dryer very close to the hair and then follow up with a straightener to get any spots that are stubborn however I would suggest using something on your hair to prevent heat damage. I know this is hair product but I found a great light spray for heat damage at sally's beauty supply that works really well and doesn't wieght down your hair... that way you can blow dry or use an iron without causing your hair perminant damage.

How to Straighten my Hair without any using hair products. . .?

No matter what your hair type is, you can style your hair any way you want it. So if you don't like product, don't use any...but products help it to do what you want it to do and keep it that way. If you want your hair to be straight you can blowdry your hair upside down then use a round brush to straighten. Straightening with a round brush will help your hair to be fuller esp. if you curl the ends with the brush. If you use a flat iron, your hair will become super flat and thin looking.

I would like my hair in the same sort of style as Mel B from Spice Girls (pre-straightening)?

Can someone tell me what this style is actually called and how i can get it done? Thanks x

I would like my hair in the same sort of style as Mel B from Spice Girls (pre-straightening)?

if it's the straight look that she has and you have afro carribean hair first of all wash your hair with your usual de frizz shampoo conditioner, then use a de frizz sirum while wet. use a hair dryer to blow dry straight as much as you can. afro hair is reall hard to straighten with average highstreet straighteners. invest in some GHD's. rhey are the best. start with the underneath section of your hair and from root to tip straighten very slowly do this twice. then drop next section and repeat and so on. you will have lovely straight hair. use some de frizz sirum after as your hair may go wirey cos of the texture.

I was thinking of purchasing a straightening iron but I don't know what to use to protect my ha

I know that there is something on the market made to protect but I don't know what they are and where I could get these.

I was thinking of purchasing a straightening iron but I don't know what to use to protect my hair. Any ideas?

I heard the best ones to get is Sedu or Chi. They are rather pricey though.

I have a Wigo Europe Ceramic one, which was moderately priced. My hair is slightly wavy, and it works pretty good, not the best but good.

I heard anything that has ion ceramic on it is the way to go. The better quality ones are better for really curly hair, but if you have less unrulely hair I would go with one in the $65 price range.

I was thinking of purchasing a straightening iron but I don't know what to use to protect my hair. Any ideas?

I put on Bio Silk before using the straightening iron. It閳ユ獨 a lotion for your hair and it smells great. You can find it in most salons and you don閳ユ獩 have to use a lot either. Good luck.

I was thinking of purchasing a straightening iron but I don't know what to use to protect my hair. Any ideas?

dont worry about it, just make sure you get a ceramic iron and it won't be damaging. I've been straightening my hair every day for 6 years and I can promise you it does not look fried.

Also, use good shampoo and conditioner and don't wash your hair everyday.

I was thinking of purchasing a straightening iron but I don't know what to use to protect my hair. Any ideas?

I know of something in a spray bottle, and it's called Heat Protection, I can't remember the brand, but I'm sure you can get it at Target or wal-mart for an affordable price.

I was thinking of purchasing a straightening iron but I don't know what to use to protect my hair. Any ideas?

I am a huge fan of CHI products. I use a product called thermal guard which protects your hair really well. Usually you can find CHI at salons or a drugstore

I was thinking of purchasing a straightening iron but I don't know what to use to protect my hair. Any ideas?

Well never flatten your hair when it is still wet...so make sure you dry it first...then herbal essence makes a good serum that you put on your hair specifically before you straighten it...its in a pink bottle and works pretty good...and just make sure you do a deep conditioning...like hot oil treatment once a week...

I was thinking of purchasing a straightening iron but I don't know what to use to protect my hair. Any ideas?

I have been using this product called Silk Elements. I bought it from Sally Beauty Supply. It works great! It helps protect from heat damage when using your flat iron, and it leaves your hair soft, smooth and shinny. It also smells good too.

I was thinking of purchasing a straightening iron but I don't know what to use to protect my hair. Any ideas?

bio*silk~~~~@ salons~~~15 $$$~ work well and for along time!!

I was thinking of purchasing a straightening iron but I don't know what to use to protect my hair. Any ideas?

How to Straighten your Hair With a Flat Iron

http://homebeautytips.blogspot.com/2007/...

I have very thin hair but a lot of it. it's wavy but not curly. Will chemically straightening w

I have had blonde foils about 3 months ago.

I have very thin hair but a lot of it. it's wavy but not curly. Will chemically straightening work?

i had the same problem i tried the chemical straightening and it worked but it ruined my hair....as it grew out the ends were straight and the top was wavy. i had to cut my hair really short which was only to my shoulders but i was used to having longer hair..i will never chemically straighten it again because i know what it does to your hair. i have just learned to deal with my wavy hair.

I have very thin hair but a lot of it. it's wavy but not curly. Will chemically straightening work?

Dont get it chemically straightend it costs ALOT OF MONEY! and it ruins your hair permenalty. It cant be fixed and is not good for your hair.. buy a chi!

I have very thin hair but a lot of it. it's wavy but not curly. Will chemically straightening work?

i would suggest getting a straightener instead because if you get it chemically straightened its difficult to get curls or waves back until your hair grows back..

by the way if you get a straightener make sure its not a cheap one

I have very thin hair but a lot of it. it's wavy but not curly. Will chemically straightening work?

well when i was three i had the same thing but it was also curly.we moved to germany when i turned 4 and the chemicals in the bath water straightened my hair so i will have to say yes but dont use alot.

I have very thin hair but a lot of it. it's wavy but not curly. Will chemically straightening work?

if you hair is thin the best thin you can do is just let it rest. Don't flat iron to often but do go to the salon often. Don't over wash it and cut of the weak ends. Also use deep conditioners. Just simply let it be for a while then you can start to have tons of fun once you see improvements.

I have very thin hair but a lot of it. it's wavy but not curly. Will chemically straightening work?

i have the same problom dont get it chemically straightend bad idea get a plug in hair straightner and use good conditioner my hair always comes out really soft and straight and its not permanate

I have very thin hair but a lot of it. it's wavy but not curly. Will chemically straightening work?

It's best not to chemically straighten unless you use the japanese straightening systems - they last longer and are less damaging.

They are very expensive though, and maintaining it is expensive (retouches are every 3-4 months).

It will work though...but I'm not sure if your hair is in good enough condition with the blonde color. If you used bleach, it might not be a good idea. I'm not really familiar with the japanese systems as they're not very popular where I live.

How do i straighten my hair??

ok, i have hair that's about shoulder length.

it's brown, i know that probably doesn't matter. lol.

i have a hair straightner, but it doesn't work that well.

plus, i don't really know how to straighten it right.

it always looks wavy or curly or ugly as mess.

is it better to straighten it at night time??

what kind of straightner should i get?

does blow drying my hair help straighten it??

oh, and what would be a good mascara if i want bigger, but not super dramatic eyes??

please help! thanks.

How do i straighten my hair??

You need to make sure to layer your hair. Clip a big section up, and then focus on just a little bit. Take small strands of hair and then brush them out. Then, you have to apply some sort of product. I use Sleek Look's Iron smoother. Then, start near your scalp, and slowly pull down. Go over it again if you have to.

Don't feel that you have to straighten your hair to be beautiful though. You say that sometimes it looks curly, how about embracing the curl?

I like Almay's volumizing mascara.

How do i straighten my hair??

you need to straighten it in layers, clip some up and straighten that layer, take some out, straiten...etc...

How do i straighten my hair??

just take the straightener and keep going over your head until it looks good. and straight. covergirl mascara

How do i straighten my hair??

You don't say what kind of straightener you have, but I use and reommend the CHI Ceramic Flat Iron by Farouk. I have one that I got at a Hair Show over 5 years ago and I use it every day, either on my hair or one or more of my customers hair. The best advice I can give you is to make an appointment with a professional hairdresser and have them show you how to use the straightener and also you must use a thermal protectant such as CHI Iron Guard or Framesi WIO Strait Balm.

My hair never straightens!!?

My hair never straightens! Its,really thin and always frizzes when i try t straighten it. i have the Wet to Straight straightner. Is that the problem? And when ever my friends sraighten my hair it works! Am i doing somthing wrong? i Put it up and do each little peice at a time, and it still dosnt work for me! Helpp!! :)

My hair never straightens!!?

Is it hard to comb through your hair when it is wet?? Does the brush seem to get stuck?

If so you may want to start by using a product that seals your cuticle before you start to heat style. A good one is Redkin Extreme Anti Snap.

Your hair may end up frizzy from breakage and damage. Give it a shot.

(and get a new straightener, not a wetdry. A normal one (ceramic or tourmeline) that requires you to dry your hair first then straighten after.... remember to straighten your hair in sections.)

My hair never straightens!!?

next time you go to a hair salon ask your hair dresse what to do

My hair never straightens!!?

you need a GOOD hair straightner. and a blow dryer.

when you get outta the shower, use something for the friziness [possibly john freida] then blow dry your hair. after that, straighten it. i recommend the chi hair straightner. it works wonders.

good luck! :]

My hair never straightens!!?

i have curly hair too and i straighten it almost every day...your straightener could be the problem, but im not familiar with that kind. i use a chi ceramic flatiron, and i highly reccommend it. its about $80, but really worth it. keep doing the pieces thing, its good so that you get all of your hair. i recommend brushing the section you are about to straighted right before you do it, and to also spray Aquage Beyond Shine Spray before you even touch your hair with the straightener. it will protect your hair from burning (which can cause frizziness) and will make it shinier. good luck =]

My hair never straightens!!?

my hair never straightens either it takes lots of work. i always wash my hair at night and let it air dry then use a straightner the next morning and do it in sections. use hair spray too! and unfortunatly for us curly headed people we have to get a really really good straightner which means that usually we have to spend more money on it

My hair never straightens!!?

Take your straightener and while you're straightening your hair, run a brush through it...that helps a lot. Otherwise, I would ask your hairdresser and ask your friends what they do when they straighten your hair...Hope I could help!

My hair doesnt straighten very well and doesnt curl?

my hair is like straight but it really flips out at the ends and kinda has a little wave to it, its alittle shorter than sholder length with some short layers. i have to straighten it every day cause it gets kinda big and frizzy but it doesnt really straighten it just makes it smoother.

what can i do to make my hair get really straight and stay straight? i need help

My hair doesnt straighten very well and doesnt curl?

hairspray.

and a ceramic straightener.

and blow dry your hair befor you staighten.

it'll help.

My hair doesnt straighten very well and doesnt curl?

good suggestions from previous poster, but also try a different shampoo, one that prevents frizz or one that DOESN"T add body or volume.

My hair doesnt straighten very well and doesnt curl?

Try using a gel made to straighten hair and keep it frizz free. I use the Garnier sleek and shine products which works great for me.

Does rebonding your hair make it straight?

My friend wants her hair straightened but her mom said that she should get it rebonded. If she gets it rebonded, will it get straightened too?

Does rebonding your hair make it straight?

Hair type is determined by our heredity The only way to change it is by using a chemical and when the hair starts to grow the chemical is not on the roots re bonding is just another name for a perm or straightener Just go to a professional for advice please

Does rebonding your hair make it straight?

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yup yup sure does..

if ya don't believe me...then go to that website

How can i get rid of a hair parting? when i have my hair straightened and down, i want there to be n

how can i get it to stay like that without adding anything to my hair.

should i keep my hair all pushed back for a while till the hairs stay in that place? how can i have no parting. (for ex. when i take my hair out of a ponytail, it parts to a certain way.) how can i not have it part any way.?

srry if this makes no sense..

thanks guys!

How can i get rid of a hair parting? when i have my hair straightened and down, i want there to be no parting.

yea, it does make sense...i think u mean parting in the front, so while its cooling down after straightening or drying, whatever...pin the part back that fall in to a part, or wear headband..it wont work at first but if u keep doing it...ur part will go!hope i helped

How can i get rid of a hair parting? when i have my hair straightened and down, i want there to be no parting.

thats impossible---- the hair has to fall down some way!

How can i get rid of a hair parting? when i have my hair straightened and down, i want there to be no parting.

well it has to have a parting... unless it just goes straight back? you can make the parting all diff, i guess, if you don't want a straight line...

How can i get rid of a hair parting? when i have my hair straightened and down, i want there to be no parting.

There is no way to do that. You'd have to use a ton of hairspray to keep it looking the way it does in a ponytail.

How can i get rid of a hair parting? when i have my hair straightened and down, i want there to be no parting.

i dont think you CANT have a part... but you can make it less noticeable. try a root uplifting spray.

How can i get rid of a hair parting? when i have my hair straightened and down, i want there to be no parting.

i really don't think that you can stop your hair from parting you can change the way it parts but you cant stop it from parting!

How can i get rid of a hair parting? when i have my hair straightened and down, i want there to be no parting.

when i blow dry my hair and straighten it .. it parts where i put it.. so if u dry ur hair parted where u want it should stay there..

How can i get rid of a hair parting? when i have my hair straightened and down, i want there to be no parting.

ur hair has to part SOME where! But if you mean how do you change your part to a different side.... then part it in the new spot and use hair spray to keep it down, eventually (a month or so) it will be retrained to part there instead of the other place. :)

How can i get rid of a hair parting? when i have my hair straightened and down, i want there to be no parting.

its impossible to not have a part in you hair. but, if you want to you, you can put it half up/ half down. or if you have long bangs, take the front bangs, bring them strait back and clip it.

How can i get rid of a hair parting? when i have my hair straightened and down, i want there to be no parting.

Your hair is parting the same way it's parted when your relaxer is put in. You need to have your parts put in a different way but they have to part it some how. I always part my hair from side to side , you know from ear to ear. That way I don't have that part straight down the middle like they tell you to do.

How can i get rid of a hair parting? when i have my hair straightened and down, i want there to be no parting.

Well, what I do when I want to change my part.. is after I get out of the shower, I brush my hair and part it where ever I want and then clip it on both sides until it dries. It will stay once it is dry [it does for me] So I would assume, that what you would have to do, is part your hair horizontally and brush it forward and clip it where it needs to be held until it dries.

Hope it helps.

You should try it, you've got nothing to lose except for a part of course.

Hair wont straighten=|?

i've just had my hair cut and it wont stay the same as it was straight after it got cut. It puffs out to the sides on top and the ends of my hair (medium length hair btw) wont straighten=| Any ideas?

Hair wont straighten=|?

Hair wont straighten=|?

Sue the hair cutting person

ericka xx

Hair wont straighten=|?

Keep your crash helmet on

Hair wont straighten=|?

Hair wont straighten=|?

be a man.

Hair wont straighten=|?

Maybe try some extra conditioner on those areas when you wash your hair and/or use a leave in conditioner that you put on when your hair is dry.

Best of luck to ya.

Hair wont straighten=|?

what you do is you should get a hot comb and if that don't work get a perm and i will defiantly work

I straighten my hair but it still gets Frizzy/Poofy, I tried sooo many products already, What can i

Okay I have natural Poofy/curly/Frizzy hair i straighten it everyday at night before i go to sleep, and in the morning because over night when i sleep it gets messed up. I have a ceramic iron but my hair gets poofy and frizzy the MINUTE i step out the door even if its cold outside but hair poofs up. I tried frizz ease,Pantene,GArnier, any shampoo/conditioner there is i alrady used! Right now im using sunsilk anti poof, but i dont see the diffrence, I use Biosilk, olive oil spray, Loreal Studio products, But nothing can seam to tame my Hair from puffing/frizzing up.

Whattt can i do???????????????

I straighten my hair but it still gets Frizzy/Poofy, I tried sooo many products already, What can i do?

I used to have the same problem, but now I use Herbal Essences products. Try "None of Your Frizzness" shampoo and conditioner, and leave in conditioner (this part is my secret to keeping my hair from curling in the weather). Also, try one of their gels. I use "Totally Twisted"- which works great if you're going to leave your hair curly OR straighten it. Make sure you're using wax and a flat iron spray. This always works for me and makes my hair smell great. Good luck!

I straighten my hair but it still gets Frizzy/Poofy, I tried sooo many products already, What can i do?

you might wanna go to a salon and ask if they have something called a relaxer is makes your hair straight and less frizzy i did that and it worked great!

I straighten my hair but it still gets Frizzy/Poofy, I tried sooo many products already, What can i do?

I have thick, curly hair. What I usually do is I take a blow-dryer and a round brush (bristles all around), and use the brush like a curling iron. I only blow dry that section of hair, and my hair gets flat and smooth. So, for me the best product was no product at all.

I straighten my hair but it still gets Frizzy/Poofy, I tried sooo many products already, What can i do?

If you're using all of these products and your hair still is frizzing up, your straightener is crap. I had the same problem cuz i have naturally think curly ringlet hair and i like it straight. your best bet is to get a new straightener at a beauty supply store. Mine cost me $65 dollars and it was worth every penny.

I straighten my hair but it still gets Frizzy/Poofy, I tried sooo many products already, What can i do?

the next morning you should run your straightener over your hair again.

and do u blow dry your hair?

that always help ym hair and I use pantene and mine is fine..

I straighten my hair but it still gets Frizzy/Poofy, I tried sooo many products already, What can i do?

hmmmm have you tried frizz controll products?

i have naturally frizzy hair to and same happens to me i dont know what to do either...

I straighten my hair but it still gets Frizzy/Poofy, I tried sooo many products already, What can i do?

I wonder if my favorite product for blow drying, POTION 9 by SEBASTIAN would work for you? It's a gel (comes in a 5oz. tube), I work it through my hair, then blow dry %26amp; when done all my frizzes %26amp; splits stay down.

Best wishes.

I straighten my hair but it still gets Frizzy/Poofy, I tried sooo many products already, What can i do?

you can use garnier fructis sleek and shine humity control and frizz contro, shampoo and conditioner and teh cream. it is sold in many retail stores good luck!

I straighten my hair but it still gets Frizzy/Poofy, I tried sooo many products already, What can i do?

Ok i have realy curly hair, and itryed every thing. the only thing that works for me is a little bit of baby oil after I shampoo... then I straighten my hair.... If your not into baby oil go too your local rite-aid and buy some stuff called, Suddenly straight. ITs about 5 to 6 Bucks. Its by hask and its great!

I straighten my hair but it still gets Frizzy/Poofy, I tried sooo many products already, What can i do?

try having it professionally straightened or rebonded. rebonding is nicer but it can cost a fortune.

neutrogena triple moisture conditioner might also help.

I straighten my hair but it still gets Frizzy/Poofy, I tried sooo many products already, What can i do?

You should put a hair straightner on it. Rusk makes one that is really good. It is like a perm only the opposite it straightens your hair instead of curling it. I would definately recommend a professional to do this. It can fry your hair if you aren't careful. You will LOVE the results!

I straighten my hair but it still gets Frizzy/Poofy, I tried sooo many products already, What can i do?

my hair is similar as yours what i do is i take a shower in the evening and after that i blow dry my hair straight with a comb

then i either straighten it that night or in the morning and it doesn't get really frizzy because of the blow-dryer

..

hope this helps

I straighten my hair but it still gets Frizzy/Poofy, I tried sooo many products already, What can i do?

if u can dont str8n it b4 u sleep, it only dries out ur hair making it more fuzzy in the long run. Try flatironing smaller sections at a time and putting a little hairspray on each section b4 u iron it. hope this helps....

I straighten my hair but it still gets Frizzy/Poofy, I tried sooo many products already, What can i do?

what type of iron do you have?

if its not a good one it wont work for you

make sure you blow dry it first with the straightening comb in order to prestraighten your hair

then straighten it with the iron using a heat protector

try chi silk infusion and chi straight guard smoothing styling cream

and hten straighten it

that should work for you

hope it helps:]

I straighten my hair but it still gets Frizzy/Poofy, I tried sooo many products already, What can i do?

Use tressemme hair serum.

I had the exact same problem about a month or two ago.

Thats hen someone recommended tressemme to me and it really does work.

Just put an average amount into your hand and lightly stroke your hands over your hair.

Then if need be use the straighteners over your hair a little.

Not only does it get rid of the frizzinness but it makes my hair really soft and silky.

And if you feel the need put a light spritz of hairspray over the top to hold it in place, although i don't think you'll need it, but just incase.

Hope this helps :)

I straighten my hair but it still gets Frizzy/Poofy, I tried sooo many products already, What can i do?

What kind of flat iron do you have? I have a Chi and I use the Chi products. My hair is naturally curly and naturally oily to so I have to wash my hair every morning but if you go to a local salon or a store that has hair products such as Redken, Rusk, Paul Mitchell, Pureology, Big Sexy Hair, etc they will have a product that you can use to put in your hair either wet or dry. Not sure where you are from but in Louisana we have warehouse stores that you can go into and purchase things that you would normally purchase in a salon at a discounted price. Of course you have to have a cosmotology license to buy from them but also look online. Google the different products above and look and see what they have. I use mainly Rusk, Pureology and Chi products on my hair and I find those work the best. I dont use cheap brands b/c they never work. On shampoos, mouse, hair spray, etc. i pay good money for it. MAybe try a leave in spray conditioner.

I straighten my hair but it still gets Frizzy/Poofy, I tried sooo many products already, What can i do?

I have the same problem, I am a very ittalion young lady with curls that are super tight. Or I should say I used to have that problem. I think what is wrong with your hair is that your doing to much. If you lay on it after it is straightened, then wake up and straighten it againg, your hair is most likely dieing. This is your hair crying out for help, for moisture. What I do is I take a shower at night, I lightly towel dry it, just to the point where it won't leave a pool of water on the floor, but ocassionally it does drip. Then I braid my hair, (if your hair isn't long enough do multiple braids) that way it stays wet, but not to wet during the night. Make sure your braid is tight so it pulls the top of your hair straight while you sleep. When you wake up in the morning unbraid your hair, and blow dry (or air dry) your hair. You might have to go to bed earlier and wake up earlier. Then straighten it. (Try dividing your hair into multiple sections and then straighten each section). Another problem you could have is not waiting long enough after you straighten your hair. Wait until your hair is back to it's normal temperature (run your fingers through your hair occasionally) before you put any product in it. Then put in your leave-in conditioner (you said you used that right? That is great for your hair. Preferably Aussie). Then whatever frizz control you have. I use Frizz ease, sometimes it does the exact opposite of what it is supposed to if you used to much, just a couple drops/squirts of it. Then you should be good. Thats all the advice I have, I hope it helps. My answer was long enough, lol.

I straighten my hair but it still gets Frizzy/Poofy, I tried sooo many products already, What can i do?

Same here!!!This is wat I do.

When my hair is wet (before it puffs, So you have to act quick!) I put mousse in it. DO NOT SCRUNCH IT!!! It will make our hair more puffy!! Now, Once the mousse is in put the top half of your hair in a bun to get it out of your way. put your hair in 5 to 7 braids depending on how much hair you have. Once you are done, do the same to the top. Once you are done, rub frizz SERUM (it is more "intencse" and works better in our hair) over your braids. Sleep with a bandana or a silk scarf on your head and take the braids out in the morning. You will have beautiful, bouncy curls in the morning! I do this everyday and this is soooooo much more easier to manage then puff.

To all the girls out there that straighten their hair?

Hiya girls do any of you use heat defence spray when straightening your hair? Because what I want to know is do you put heat defence spray on your hair before you blow-dry it. And then when you straighten it do you spray each strand of air with the spay again?

To all the girls out there that straighten their hair?

Yes, I do use heat protectant spray, I love the kind by Tressemme.

I do spray it all over my towel-dried hair before I blow dry it, then use a special flat brush to make sure the spray goes throughout my hair.

Yes, when you straighten your hair, you have to spray it again. Although, you can't use as much, because then it will make your hair wet. Ever gotten some water on a straightener that was turned on? It sizzles. Same will happen to your hair. Unless you have really long hair, I'd say 1 spray per piece of hair you're going to straighten, then run a brush through it, then straighten.

Tip: Don't go over 1 piece of hair with your straightener more than once, because it rarely makes a difference and just damages your hair more. Instead, just go really slow down the piece of hair.

To all the girls out there that straighten their hair?

I straighten my hair every once and a while. I dont use any spray, But i think i should bc after i straighten my hair there are some parts that dont straighten. I know there are some items you can use to help in the straightening process. Sorry I could not help you out to much, good luck!!!!

To all the girls out there that straighten their hair?

I use the Heat Glide from Redken, which is a thick serum to use when you're gonna flat iron your hair. Before blow drying, I use Hot Straight, a water based yet creamy balm by L'Or鑼卆l Studio line, it really helps.

To all the girls out there that straighten their hair?

You can do that, but you really only have to do it once. Spraying twice makes me feel like there will be a tad too much product in there.

To all the girls out there that straighten their hair?

i grab a strand and i spray it and keep repeating with each piece,

if your hair still get's wavy during the day after straightening it i always spray mine with hair spray then brush it out and it stay's perfectly straight all day!

To all the girls out there that straighten their hair?

I use Motion Hair Lotion (in a pink bottle).

It is GREAT!

It is actually made for ethinic type hair, but I am white and it works wonderful %26amp; makes my hairs so soft.

Just make sure not to use to much or you will look oily.

To all the girls out there that straighten their hair?

I use this thing called Vivid Color--it's sort of like this oil thing that comes in a little blue bottle--on my hair before i blow dry it, and then again before I straighten it once it's dry.

My hair is really hard to straighten! i have thick hair and wavy!!! i need it to stay straight all d

my hair is wavy.. and yes i do straighten it in small sections! with a straightner! i don't won't to get my hair chemically straightened though! i have a good straightner, i have a ANDIS straightner( p.s. that is the brand of straightner) i need help, so for the first day of school my hair will stay straight and not poofy%26lt; cus my hair will also get poofy during the day! please help!!

:) thanks a bunch

My hair is really hard to straighten! i have thick hair and wavy!!! i need it to stay straight all day! help?

okay...what you need to do is first wash it the night before school, then you can try pulling it back into a sleek ponytail and let it dry that way....that helps it dry straight. you should then take the ponytail out and put some kind of heat protector on it, or smoothing serum. then use a round brush to blow it straight, too, or you could just do this without putting it into a ponytail...the ponytail just saves energy. blow it out in sections of about one inch until they are fairly straight and dry. section your hair again and then straighten each section of one inch and run a comb after you iron it, that sometimes helps. also, you can lightly mist the strand with hairspray before you straighten it...that helps. you could also apply straightening cream before you straighten it. when you are done, lightly mist it with spray, and brush it out a little so your hair doesn't get crinkly. then SLEEP ON IT! this helps flatten it. then in the morning, restraighten it and lightly mist it...it should stay! i know it seems like a whole lot of effort, but trust me, it will look great. also, get layers in your hair, it makes it easier to straighten!

My hair is really hard to straighten! i have thick hair and wavy!!! i need it to stay straight all day! help?

i have the EXACT same problem!! I tryed Herbal essence straitening mousse and it helps to keep the waves away

My hair is really hard to straighten! i have thick hair and wavy!!! i need it to stay straight all day! help?

I have a cortex straightener -it's pink. now my case is completly opposite to yours - my hair is straight and it curls pretty easily but it takes a lot of time, but my hair isn't pin straight and "waves" at the ends so I tried all of my friends expensive straighteners but none really did the trick for me.. I used my straightener and it's really good.

but I don't suppose you want a new one. use your straightener, and yes in small sections - straighten it and then use some hair straightening serum or hairspray - basically a smoothing serum

i'd say if none of this works, first day of school day before or morning of (but that might be kinda early) probably day before go to your haircutters and have them straighten your hair - they have really high powered heat blowdryers and they're experienced so you can ask them for tips and stuff. you can even call them, won't hurt.

My hair is really hard to straighten! i have thick hair and wavy!!! i need it to stay straight all day! help?

i have the same problem =(

My hair is really hard to straighten! i have thick hair and wavy!!! i need it to stay straight all day! help?

no kidding i got the same prob with my hair. i tried everything. i don't know wat i can say to help you sorry and good luck. =}

My hair is really hard to straighten! i have thick hair and wavy!!! i need it to stay straight all day! help?

i have the same problem as well. i reccomend

dadadada!

thermal reconditioning

what chemical straightening does is strip and erode the hair away til its able to be straight. ouch

thermal reconditioning is more expensive, but totally worth it. it actually makes your hair silky and soft [hence, reconditioning]

its great, though costly and takes a while...

GOOD LUCK! use the link under the source for more info, and how to find a licenced practitioner. :D

My hair is really hard to straighten! i have thick hair and wavy!!! i need it to stay straight all day! help?

Hun, I feel your pain.

Your best bet is to go to the salon the day before school and have them straighten it.

My hair is really hard to straighten! i have thick hair and wavy!!! i need it to stay straight all day! help?

Good God, Woman! Why you wanna wreck your hair?

Every airheaded girl at the mall has straightened hair. Unless you're in the military, resist the urge to be just like everyone else.

My hair is really hard to straighten! i have thick hair and wavy!!! i need it to stay straight all day! help?

I have extremely thick and curly and long hair and i found that the hair straightners kept it straight for 5 minutes so i thought what about if i iron my hair and that kept my hair straight for 3 days!! providing i didnt get it wet so if you iron your hair that can help but just dont do it too often or you will dry your hair.

How you do it.

Heat up a iron that has a couple of drops of water in it, then lay your head on the floor on a towel and brush your hair up the towel, once brushed run the iron over your hair (should take about 3-5 minutes in total) and once done sit up and brush your hair and wahlaa is straight :) hope this helps

I have curly hair (natural) how can i style it that won't take forever and I can where it almost everyday?

i use this gel called BIOTERA that i bought at Sally's beauty supply. if u apply it after u wash your hair it'll curl up without frizziness (dont put 2 much or it'll turn white.) the days after you just wet it enough and the curls will stay without frizziness, and if it is a little frizzy just put a little more gel

I have curly hair (natural) how can i style it that won't take forever and I can where it almost everyday?

Use a curl brush and blow it out. It will take 5 minutes once you get good at it.

I have curly hair (natural) how can i style it that won't take forever and I can where it almost everyday?

after you wash put in some mousse or gel and do not brush (it will get frizzy) turn your head over and start at the bottom and scrunch. it looks great and takes 2 minutes

I have curly hair (natural) how can i style it that won't take forever and I can where it almost everyday?

you can put a headband on (the stiff brace kind) and pull hair infront so it dangles in front of your face. if it's long curls, use a headband with a sash attached to it. you can also look at actress' hair styles

I have curly hair (natural) how can i style it that won't take forever and I can where it almost everyday?

i would use curling mousee in it then try it lightly with blowdryer it makes your curls look full and bouncy and healthy!

I have curly hair (natural) how can i style it that won't take forever and I can where it almost everyday?

NOTHING is more cool than a natural AFRO

I have curly hair (natural) how can i style it that won't take forever and I can where it almost everyday?

I have curly hair (natural) how can i style it that won't take forever and I can where it almost everyday?

Have you tried using scrunching gel or curl inhancing mouse? If not you should try puttign that in damp hair and just use your hands to work it through.

I have curly hair (natural) how can i style it that won't take forever and I can where it almost everyday?

**How To Style Curly Hair**

~Wash and condition your hair using a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. Wavy and curly hair tends to be drier than straight hair.

~Towel dry your hair and comb through with a wide-tooth comb.

~Pour a dollop of liquid straightening serum and a smaller dollop of glossing serum into your hand and mix them together. (tip: ~Vaseline works just as well as serums, pomades and gels and is at least a tenth of the cost)

~Apply the straightening-glossing serum mixture to sections of your hair. Twist each section around your fingers, hold for a few seconds, then release. Do this all over your head.

~Turn your head down. Dry your hair with a blow-dryer with a diffuser attachment until your hair is completely dry.

~Spray hair lightly with an anti-frizz spray.

I have curly hair (natural) how can i style it that won't take forever and I can where it almost everyday?

Just get some good mousse (with fizz control) for curly hair. Scrunch it into your hair while it is wet. Then just let it air dry. It is super easy and fast (it takes like 5 min.) This is how I do my hair when I don't have time to straighten it.

I have natural curly hair too.

I have curly hair (natural) how can i style it that won't take forever and I can where it almost everyday?

may take more than you really want to spend but it will make you feel better......I know it did me. I too wanted a new hair style but mine is straight as a board and heavy.

Had moved and asked around about some place to get hair done.(the place I found even served wine)...You do the same...watch peoples hairstyles and one you really like, ask them who does theirs.......or find a really really nice stylist salon....like I said its expensive but can really give you great ideas and help you on the right track.....Treat yourself

I have curly hair (natural) how can i style it that won't take forever and I can where it almost everyday?

shower in the evenings, and in the shower, comb it with a wide tooth comb to remove tangles. when you get out of the shower, towel dry it until it is slightly damp, and then put a small amount of hair gel in, and comb through your hair with your hands. Put it in a low bun, and sleep on it. When you get up in the morning, take it out of the bun, and you're ready to go! your hair is frizz and tangle free, and it will dry lush and curly.

I have curly hair (natural) how can i style it that won't take forever and I can where it almost everyday?

i have the same problem! i cant straighten it everyday cuz it will take forever, but i hate going to school everyday with my hair curly

I have curly hair (natural) how can i style it that won't take forever and I can where it almost everyday?

Girl you are so luck to have curly hair. Curly hair is always beautiful and it always bring something out in a persons face. Why don't you just hang in loose? Try to do styles that will complement your hair and face.

I have curly hair (natural) how can i style it that won't take forever and I can where it almost everyday?

WHEN U ARE READY TO GO UNBRAID THEM LEAVIN IT WAVY! U CAN SPRAY IT LIGHTLY WITH HAIR SPRAY IF U WANT ... I HAVE REALLY CURLY POOFY HAIR THIS WORKS 4 ME!!

I have curly hair (natural) how can i style it that won't take forever and I can where it almost everyday?

I have naturally curly hair. I fought with it for years and have finally settled on styles that let me just wash and go. Since it's not a good idea to comb or brush curly hair, after my shower I use IC hair polisher and some Finesse Touchables Mousse, make sure you use plenty, then I let it dry naturally. Occasionally I have a friend straighten for me since I don't have the patience to straighten my own. The best cut is one with some light layers. I kept getting styles that wouldn't work for me, finally a stylist told me my hair was too thick for the styles I usually asked for, that I should just leave it a bit longer and have some light and gradual layers cut into it, it works well when I leave it curly or when I have it straightened. That's what I did, and right now I'm happy with my hair, but it took years for this to happen! Try this site: www.naturallycurly.com

I have curly hair (natural) how can i style it that won't take forever and I can where it almost everyday?

first i would ask if you do your hundred strokes with your brush every day. these are necessary to evenly distribute your scalp's natural oil throughout the entire hair.

next, having read your question and having questioned many women about their short haircuts, (the common denominator "it's easier to care for") i conclude that you need what is called a lazy woman's hair cut. it looks fine on many ladies and if your down with that, then it could be your solution.

I have curly hair (natural) how can i style it that won't take forever and I can where it almost everyday?

I have really curly hair and I do wear it curly most of the time because it's easy to take care of. I comb my hair and detangle it in the shower, then spray some leave in conditioner (Bumble and Bumble Tonic or Infusium) and work some silicone serum in (just about every silicone product is the same, but I love Laminates drops) then wrap my hair in a towel to dry it out while I get dressed. Then I take it out of the towel after a bit, and work in Garnier Fructis Soft Curl gel, part my hair, and let it air dry and it's gorgeous!

I have curly hair (natural) how can i style it that won't take forever and I can where it almost everyday?

use a diffuser

My Hair i straighten it but it dosent stay straightened!?

so i straighten my hair every morning but when i go to school by 3rd period its all flippy and weird! i straighten my hair because if i dont it looks all flippy and like i went through a war or somthing wat can i do to not make straight like straight all day even in the rain if its possible???? well i mean rain drops little ones.

My Hair i straighten it but it dosent stay straightened!?

i used to have this problem but i realized i wasn't straigtening right. first, u need to apply heat protectant and let it dry. second, straighten section by section SLOWLY. u may feel like you're in a hurry but u need to straighten slowly and maybe even 10 times to make it look sleek. but don't do it 10 times immediatly, work around your head...again SLOWLY and then check if the hair u already straightened is acting up. if it is, then straighten it again.

when you're done, apply a smoothing cream or serum. I prefer the serums because they make your hair look shiny. :)

put the serum in your palm, rub your palms together, and put your hair in a "pony" and spread throughout your hair.

it's nice to keep the serum with u throughout the day to keep ur hair smooth, just in case. :)

My Hair i straighten it but it dosent stay straightened!?

thats not really possible. srry well at least that i know of.

My Hair i straighten it but it dosent stay straightened!?

You can buy straightening serum that can help. Also maybe just invest in one of those awesome chi straighteners.

My Hair i straighten it but it dosent stay straightened!?

try a little bit of gel or hairspray, works for me :)

My Hair i straighten it but it dosent stay straightened!?

maybe you should put some anti frizz cream or hairspray. Not just that but have you ever thought about straightening your hair in small sections. Maybe your technic is wrong or maybe the iron isn't hot enough.

My Hair i straighten it but it dosent stay straightened!?

They make a hair straightener chemical where you buy the hair color dye's. You wash it in your hair and it last for about 6 to 8 washes. Try that along with a good conditioner.

My Hair i straighten it but it dosent stay straightened!?

i use loreal hot straight creme when my hair' s wet. Then i can either blow dry my hair or let it air dry and then i straighten it and it stays pretty straight

My Hair i straighten it but it dosent stay straightened!?

1st you should get a chi straightener cuz those work good. it comes with some serum that is amazing (i have it) try that it works for me

My Hair i straighten it but it dosent stay straightened!?

i think you may need a better straightener, or turn it up higher, also use a bit of mousse on wet hair before you blow dry so that it will keep its shape after its straightened

My Hair i straighten it but it dosent stay straightened!?

I straighten my hair every morning as well and here is the scoop:

No magical product will keep you hair straight all of the time.

But don't fret! Because there are still ways that can help you turn things around for the good! Okay, after you take a shower, blow dry your hair with a nozzle (you know those ones that point the hot air through one hole?) and a thick, circle brush. This should make it semi-straight. Now, straighten your hair with a flat-iron and spray with a finishing spray (I use

got2b Crazy Sleek Hot Smooth Flat Iron %26amp; Blow Dry Lotion) which you can find at most drugstores for less than 10 dollars. Just make sure you're using products that are appropreate for your hair type!

My Hair i straighten it but it dosent stay straightened!?

hair spray works, but it doesnt give you a nice texture :P

usually the serums for straightening hair contain alcohol wich will eventually kill your hair.

try Kemi-Oyl which is more natural

or rusk Str8 serum which works REALLY well

My Hair i straighten it but it dosent stay straightened!?

My friends always say I have straight hair and how I do it

Before i straighten my hair i use soothing mouse from shockwaves because it's a heat protector and use a little bit after i straighten, because it has a little hold

Also i find that if you don't move around a lot and sleep for ages it helps keep your hair straight =]

Getting hair chemically straighten?..?

Is it worth it?..i'm tempted to do this. I hate spending x amount of time on my hair; yet I hate my hair to look dull and just like I don't take care of it, but I do. I use to have straight hair-really straight when I was younger, and over the course of time it became waivy and it's thick. I hate using gel or anything like that on my hair unless I have to, because I'm always on the go, and if I want to blow dry it-I would need to shower and then blow dry and it would just be a burden with time. My hair looks good if not blowed dried when up-in a bun or in a braid-but I want to wear it down-but haven't found any products that make it look good. So, I want to chemically straighten it-do you think it's a good idea?..what was your experience?..

Getting hair chemically straighten?..?

Since you want to straighten your hair which is such a delicate process I do not recommend using an at home relaxer because there are such high levels of ammonium thyglocolate which can damage the hair and cause massive breakage. I do recommend that you go to a salon and ask the stylist to give you something called a japanese hair straightening. The Japanese hair straightening method is one of the safest relaxer treatments out there if not the safest. This is a long process in which the chemical bonds the curls in your hair are broken to give you straight silky hair also the bonus of it is that this treament adds protein to your hair which makes your hair resistant to breakage and it gives a balanced hair care finish. Also it can take up to four hours and set you back around between $200-$800 dollars but trust me it is so worth it. Your hair is permanently straightened and you only have to do the touch ups every six months or so. If you want to get the quality for less try going to the ethic neighborhoods around where you live chances are there are hair salons there where you get the same quality for less. Also remember do not wash your hair for 48-72 hours after getting it straightened with this relaxer so you don't get the relaxer deactived. For moisture once the time has elapsed( after 3 days have gone by) do daily mostiureizing treatments with mayonaise to give your hair that extra nourishment and shine. I know it sounds crazy but trust me it works. Just leave the mayonaise on for 10 minutes rinse blowdry and use a leave in conditioner everyday for that balanced hair care finish. The mayoniase also adds proteins to your hair which compliments relaxed hair greatly. To keep your hair managable use treseme shampoo and conditioner or pantene pro V as well as sebastian hair serum with relaxed hair. With these tips you will have beautiful straight and silky hair.

P.S If you are thinking about coloring your hair don't do it for two weeks this will give your hair some time to heal. After two weeks have gone by then use something that is ammonia free a haircolor like Clairol Nice N'Easy is great.

Getting hair chemically straighten?..?

No way. Your hair will be so dry and processed. It isn't worth it!

Getting hair chemically straighten?..?

don't do it! my aunt is a hair dresser and that is sooooooo bad for your hair it will damage it soooooooo much! it is so not worth it! don't do it!!!!! it will dry it out and make it brittle and dead, also if you do it your hair that grows will also be damaged so it is a life long choice!

Getting hair chemically straighten?..?

i do not reccomend getting a relaxer at all. they are no fun. they kill your hair big time try using a smoothing shampoo and conditioner. paul mitchell has a few different shampoo and conditioners that work great. they have super skinny. and just smoothing. dont buy this at cvs or walgreens either. ANY PAUL MITCHELL PRODUCT SOLD AT A STORE OTHER THAN A SALON OR SALON BASED STORE IS EITHER STOLEN, TAMPERED WITH, OLD, OR COMPLETELY FAKE!!!!!!

Getting hair chemically straighten?..?

Mmm Anthony D raises some very valid points. I am African and I would not be able to manage my hair at all if I didn't chemically straighten it, it is SO thick and curly that without chemicals just combing it can be a nightmare!having said that you need to err on the side of caution with straighteners. you have to be a lot more careful about what you put in your hair, don't colour for at least 2 weeks after applying a hair relaxer. keep it well moisturised and the natural oil balance up, hair mayonnaise is a good idea cause you scalp will dry out a little. I don't know about the Japanese stuff but if you need to do this on a regular basis as I do (every 6-8 weeks) you need to keep the cost down. chemical straighteners such a Dr miracles do work well but there is necessary maintenance to keep your hair healthy. It is also very important that when you re-apply the relaxer you only do do on the ahir growth, not on the hair you have relaxed before.once you get into the routine it is a piece of cake!

Can u get serious disease if you straighten your hair like every 2-3 days?

i washed my hair every 2 days. usually after i washed it, i didn't do anything to it. i just straighten my bangs. if i don't do anything to my hair (not even dry it up with hair dryer) my hair will be wavy. medium wavy. but sometimes, i watn to make my hair straight too. and these past months (like 2 months), after i washed my hair, i blow dry my hair then straighten it.

my question is, is it safe to straighten your hair that often? cna you catually get some serious disease if you straighten your hair so often?

Can u get serious disease if you straighten your hair like every 2-3 days?

No! It'll just get damaged from the heat of the straightener. My tip: Use a thermal Protection Spray.

Can u get serious disease if you straighten your hair like every 2-3 days?

Can u get serious disease if you straighten your hair like every 2-3 days?

not a disease, but you may damage your hair with excessive heat...they looking for products that protect your hair from heat styling

Can u get serious disease if you straighten your hair like every 2-3 days?

Yes. Your hair has important antibodies that help fend off many diseases. If you straighten it too often, you can destroy these antibodies or even "chase" them away. This is why people with long, flowing hair are always so healthy.

Can u get serious disease if you straighten your hair like every 2-3 days?

Can u get serious disease if you straighten your hair like every 2-3 days?

Yes it's safe, and no you can't get a disease. If you straighten your hair more than 2-3 days per week, you'll run the risk of heat related damage to your hair. Condition often and use heat safe products in your hair and all will be well.

Can u get serious disease if you straighten your hair like every 2-3 days?

No, straightening your hair will not give you a disease. The two things simply just arent connected. The only thing you may want to watch out for is drying out your hair. You should probably cut it down to only a couple times a week to give your hair a break.

Can u get serious disease if you straighten your hair like every 2-3 days?

no you cant. straightening your hair is fine

Can u get serious disease if you straighten your hair like every 2-3 days?

no

Can u get serious disease if you straighten your hair like every 2-3 days?

No way, listen to everyone EXCEPT Mr Lizard. Your hair is dead cells, there are absolutely no antibodies in your hair, seriously!

Can u get serious disease if you straighten your hair like every 2-3 days?

Of course not. Now straightening your hair 2-3 times a day it could damage your hair, but you wont get sick of disease. Hope I helped!!

Can u get serious disease if you straighten your hair like every 2-3 days?

It is safe to straighten your hair. The only thing you could get is fried hair. You will not get a disease from straightening your hair. Unless you are using unsanitary implements and get a virus or bacteria. But as far as serious disease.. it is pathophysiologically impossible.

Can u get serious disease if you straighten your hair like every 2-3 days?

lol No.

u can damge ur hair from the heat.

It can cause fryed hair. and breakage.

so i recomend ussing something like a mousse or whatever. for straightning to protect it.

Tresomae or however u spell it. have some good stuff.

Hope this helps.

Can u get serious disease if you straighten your hair like every 2-3 days?

wow, no way, where did you hear that

Can u get serious disease if you straighten your hair like every 2-3 days?

Um, it's not really good for your hair, but who am I to talk? You're not going to get a serious disease, though. Who in the world told you that?

Can u get serious disease if you straighten your hair like every 2-3 days?

You can't get sick from that but it's a pain in the butt to do. If you straighten your hair that often and it requires that much work I would get it chemically straightened. It will cut your time in half that you spend doing all the styling and straightening.

How can I convince my mom to let me japanese straighten my hair?

My hair is brown, with honey highlights, and thick. I have to straighten my hair every day for 15 minutes. My mom bought be a new straightener in August, the Sedu, and I'm getting tired of straightening it. How can I convince her to let me Japanese straighten it? And also if she lets me, will it make my hair super thin?

How can I convince my mom to let me japanese straighten my hair?

it's not as damaging as straightening your hair with a chi everyday.

it looks good.

it works better than american perms (no joke)

i had the korean straight perm (very similar) and it was AMAZING.

you dont have to fix your hair after you take a shower.

humidity doesnt effect the hair

it's great.

How can I convince my mom to let me japanese straighten my hair?

WHAT IS JAPANESE STRAIGHTENING?

How can I convince my mom to let me japanese straighten my hair?

Thats a pretty expensive process but I dont think it damages hair quite so much so I'm assuming your mother will have more of a problem with the money issue.. Maybe you could work for the money, either with a job or clean and help around your house so your mother will take you.. of course if she has a problem with it just listen to her.. as you get older youll realize your moms advice is usually best

How can I convince my mom to let me japanese straighten my hair?

you might as well like light your hair on fire...

its basically the same as getting one of those.

they fry your hair like none other. seriously don't do it.

it will make your hair nasty and your hair won't ever be the same.

How can I convince my mom to let me japanese straighten my hair?

if you have colored your hair before you use the japanese straightener, the hair that has been treated will fall out. this is what happened to me and it has since taken 2 years to grow back in. the process only lasts a matter of months and yes it does make hair very straight, but it also makes it very brittle even if it has not been colored before. if you have ever felt hair that has become elastic and stretchy, this is what you will probably end up with.

my hair is very sturdy, thick, and coarse and it takes me 25 minutes to straighten, but 25 minutes is not worth risking choppy, mangled hair. i bought a hai 2 straightener and it makes my hair pin straight, sleek and shiny. this is what i would recommend.

How can I convince my mom to let me japanese straighten my hair?

For straightening hair at home, you can use a hair iron and a straightening shampoo will also help. If you wish to straighten for a longer time, you can undergo Japanese hair straightening. I found this website useful - http://hcr.in/straighten.html

8th grade graduation hair!?

i have brown hair with a lot of blonde high lightss.

my dress is a light blue, greyish color and its a halter that ties around my neck.

i have very dark brown eyes

i guess you could say my face is sorta pudgy =] i have really big cheeks.

im sorta tan, i do have more color than i normally do and when im normal i seriously look albino. lol.

it can't be a too dificult hairstyle to do because i'd have to do it myself cause my mom doesnt know what shes doing.

i can't go get my hair done either so thats out of the picture. i have a sprial curling iron i think its 1" andd i also have a straightner.

i normally wear my hair straightened and down to school, but i dont really wanna look all that different for graduation, i still want to look like myself.

i probably wont be wearing a lot of make up either.

8th grade graduation hair!?

You have a graduation for 8th grade? Wow, cool.

Anyway, you should curl your hair with the iron, but not all of it, just certain pieces. Then, if you have bangs, keep them straight or pin them up. Put it in a low side ponytail. It'll look really pretty with the curls.

Play around with it, %26amp; have fun!

8th grade graduation hair!?

it's complicated

8th grade graduation hair!?

scruntch it or curl it or put it in a bun with some hairs sticking out of the bun itself.

8th grade graduation hair!?

i think pin-up curls would be really cute and it's easy to do at home. esp if you have a friend to help. this would accent your shoulders since your dress is strapless and make you look taller, and it would bring out your highlights.

good luck and congrats to the grad!! have a blast in high school :)

8th grade graduation hair!?

you know those hairstyles that looks like their tied back up? but when you looks oike its tied up by the hair... then curl after that.

8th grade graduation hair!?

wear it in a half pony tail and curl it...add a light blue ribbon for girlyness!!!

8th grade graduation hair!?

maybe you should try sprial curling your hair. After you are done, take the curls apart. So it will have more volume.

8th grade graduation hair!?

just have ur hair down and wear hoop earings and SOME makeup (DONT over do it!!) and u will look hot =)

8th grade graduation hair!?

ALRIGHT,

im a guy...and i might not be to helpful but i know that i like it when brunettes were there hair up in a lose bun with tiny curls hanging down inthe back.

im sure anything you do will look nice anyway!

hope i helped

ps: good luck on graduation!

by the way... im in 7th grade so you dont have to listen to me

8th grade graduation hair!?

Do half up half down that's always cute and classy... perfect for graduation. I'm graduating eight grade this year too

And I have a gray sort of mod dress so I'm kinda doing an Audrey Hepburn hairstyle

Those are always cute

Do your hair according to your dress Do the same style

Hope that Helps!

8th grade graduation hair!?

My hair is a different colour than yours, but it like sounds the same length, although my face is skinny.

For my Grade 6 grad (I'm in Grade 7 now) I just did a ponytail and left a little bit of hair down on one side, which I corkscew curled. Then I loosely curled the rest of my hair that was in the ponytail.

8th grade graduation hair!?

Ummm! That's a toughy. hmmm! I think that you should straighten ur hair and then space about every 1/2 inch apart make curls going diagonal (i.e. up and down) and a lil' bit of make up maybe and you'd look really pretty all of my friends can pull it off! straighten ur bangs though if u have them! but DON'T curl them! Keep them parted 3/4 on 1 side and the other 1/3 on the other side it would look REALLY cute!

Good Luck!

Steve

8th grade graduation hair!?

i really think that dress will look good on you but what I think you should do it get twists going back and have your stick straight down from there. I had it done for a party and everyone thought it looked awesome! Take it from the expert!

Is there something i can use on my hair before blow drying it that will protect it from drying &

I am a hairstylist, and I always advise my clients to use a Leave In conditioner (even after you shampoo and condition) before blow drying. This protects the hair from heat damage. For colored hair, I like Aveda Leave In Foaming Conditioner. For non colored hair, I usually use Bumble and Bumble Tonic or Prep Spray. Before you straighten, it is also important. I use Bumble and Bumble Does it All Styling Spray. I use this section by section, as I go through with the straightener. It is very important to use these styling products, as without them, hair is dried literally by boiling it inside out. When you use the products, they are fortified with proteins and vitamins. This protects and infuses the hair. Heat Styling is never healthy, but these make everyday styling okay for your hair. Also important is your blowdryer. Are you using an ionic? If not.... it is so bad for your hair. Technology has created the ionic dryer that dries the hair by decharging ions, and hence displacing water molecules. This prevents you too from "boiling" your hair dry, as you do with a regular hot air dryer. I hope this helps.

Hi, yes GHD do a great protective heat spray, it's called "Thermal protector" You spray it on before you apply heat to your hair and it will act as a barrier.

they don't call it a hairdryer for nothing!

Bed head makes this great product called fashionista. But if you want something that is going to have a hold then use big sexy hair blow dry volumizing gel. Both products work great.

I use Paul Mitchell Heat Protector Spray, Pantene spray in conditioner, hair glass to make it shine %26amp; protect %26amp; biolage hair milk.

How do I get my hair staright and under control without a flat iron or a chemical straightening trea

yes well the question says it all. im not getting one until Christmas soo I need some substitution of some sort until then!

How do I get my hair staright and under control without a flat iron or a chemical straightening treatment?

before flat irons were popular and you could get them anywhere, i used to use a large curling iron to straighten my hair....you just use it the same way you would with a flat iron. just clamp it at the top of your hair and pull down. has the same effect, just might take some time....

How do I get my hair staright and under control without a flat iron or a chemical straightening treatment?

1. Wash your hair in mid afternoon, never at night. Brush it vigorously beforehand.

2. Apply shampoo on top and rinse downwards.

3. Use conditioner in moderation.

4. Brush your hair while still in the shower, with a solid plastic brush.

5. After you have gotten all of your conditioner out, rinse hair in cold water.

6. Put a towel around your shoulders and let your hair hang loose.

7. Dry downwards, starting at the back and working forwards.

8. Dry all except the tips; this will weigh down the hair and when it finally dries, will keep it straighter

9. Tie up your hair for 10-15 minutes after washing it.

10. Leave loose and enjoy! 閳?br>How do I get my hair staright and under control without a flat iron or a chemical straightening treatment?

THe only other way would be a blow dryer and a round brush.

How do I get my hair staright and under control without a flat iron or a chemical straightening treatment?

Blow dry with a round brush. It takes about 20 minutes and a little time to get good at but when you learn you will love it. Nothing beats a good blow out and it is much less damaging on the hair because most of us blow dry our hair anyways.

1. Shampoo and towel dry the hair.

2. Apply a straightening balm/cream to wet hair. If you want volume at the roots apply gel or mousse to roots of hair. Then Apply a heat protectant product to your hair, paying special attention to the ends.

3. Dry hair as normal until hair is 80% dry to remove excess water.

4. Pull your hair into three sections, two at the sides and one at the back. Clip the two sides up.

(like you were wearing your hair half up / half down. )

5. Select a small portion of the hair from the unclipped section to straighten.

6.Using a thick, round brush and beginning at the roots, gently pull the brush through the hair to the ends while blow-drying it. Pull the hair away from your head, stretching and straightening it as you go.

7. First pull the brush through the underside of your hair so that you expose it directly to the heat of the dryer. Once that area is mostly dry, switch to the top of the hair.

**Keep the tension consistent and evenly distribute heat over the section of hair you're working on. This ensures uniform hair texture and prevents overdrying of certain areas.

8. Once that portion of hair is straightened, continue selecting and blow-drying small portions until that section is dry and straight.

9. Repeat the process on the two other sections to straighten your entire head of hair.

How do I get my hair staright and under control without a flat iron or a chemical straightening treatment?

Try a roller set, depending on your hair texture you may need to use a setting lotion, but be sure that the hair is smooth and taut on the roller. Afterwards sit under a dryer until hair is thoroughly dry.

Should you have your hair permanently straightened if you already have badly damaged hair?

I have really damaged hair I straighten it and color it also, I was thinking about getting it permanently straightened (profesionally of course) because any one who straightens their hair knows how much of a hassle and time consuming it is. But I had a lady tell me that if I had my hair permanently straightened it would look like cotton candy. Does anyone have any input on if having it permanently straightened is a bad idea or if my hair would be and look alright?

Should you have your hair permanently straightened if you already have badly damaged hair?

NO! I did, and a bunch of my heair fell out from breakage at the scalpline. It wasn't pretty, and actually got worse and harder to hide as the stubble grew out.

Should you have your hair permanently straightened if you already have badly damaged hair?

i did it and i like it but its a big comitment....my hair hasn't started 2 fall out but it will...you also need 2 maintain it well and you can't straighten it after you perminentaly straighten it!...idid and it started 2 get wavy again Report It

Should you have your hair permanently straightened if you already have badly damaged hair?

bad idea......

Should you have your hair permanently straightened if you already have badly damaged hair?

no...my sis in law did the same thing and it made her hair so frizzy it looked fried.....took over a year to make it look healthy again

Should you have your hair permanently straightened if you already have badly damaged hair?

your hair will have to grow out to be the best it can be, it's over done now. possible new cut and style until the new growth can be professionally straightened....

Should you have your hair permanently straightened if you already have badly damaged hair?

You shud definately let your hair regrow and restore itself. Stop straightening if you can, if you had it permanently straightened, it prolly wud *** out a frizzy mess. See a hairdresser if you still hav doubts.

Should you have your hair permanently straightened if you already have badly damaged hair?

no you have already over damaged your hair to much and your hair will turn to mush, do not let them talk you into it either, you could start putting something on your hair before you straighten it so you stop burning your hair so much. besides for coloring try not to do it as much, or leave your hair alone for a hile no treatments of any kind and wait to see the difference!!

Should you have your hair permanently straightened if you already have badly damaged hair?

This hard to answer, because it depends on the condition of your damaged hair, because what you see as excessive damage may not be the case. Also I don't know your degree of curliness. Another thing is it depends on what the salon is using. I truly recommend that you go to a salon that uses Rusk thermal str8, because it uses protein in the process, it is a step that is constantly used in the system.

I have never seen anyone's hair fall out from using this system. It is gentle yet strong. Never have I seen a cotton candy effect.

I would recommend you go to a GOOD salon and have a consultation, so you can walk away more informed and go from there.

Should you have your hair permanently straightened if you already have badly damaged hair?

if your hair is allready damaged i wouldnt consider it you dont want to see your head with no hair right. so here is what you can do

try not to put anything in your hair for a few weeks a little more than a month if you can just keep it up like in a bun or something and the only thing you should put in your hair is somethinfg to control frizz very little though wash it every day or every two days then apply a hair treatment (a good one)every 2 weeks youll see how much it helps your hair it will be so healthy after this

i tried it myself and let me tell you im not the one to not put nothing in my hair but if i wanted healthy hair i had to do it and my hair is so healthy that now i dont have to put so much gel and hair spray to keep it from friizzing

it helps a lot try it youll see

Should you have your hair permanently straightened if you already have badly damaged hair?

no def not your hair will fall out

Should you have your hair permanently straightened if you already have badly damaged hair?

re:(if my hair would be and look alright? ) NMYOPINION: Firstly considering the look id suggest you might experiment with different style/styles by trying different wigs.you most likely have a boutique in the local area.it will take away the guessing. Secondly, the condition of your hair can only worsen.definitely repair and replenish as much of its natural healthy state before making any change perm or otherwise. one great way to improve or repair dry or damaged(split ends) is to use a product that has the least amount of any and all natural(man made) chemicals.ie...even really good conditioners are going to have some amount of alcohol and waxes. alcohol dries hair and waxes ultimately build up and can cause flaking as well as blocking hair from nutrients and vitamins it needs to grow and enhance its texture and color or overall appearance. oddly, food items are less likely to damage or build up and have no alcohol or wax. example: To start by cleaning deep and stripping away build from conditioners, hairspray, mouse, etc , use a baby shampoo,(generously)in your hand add about a teaspoon of baking soda onto the shampoo in the palm of your hand, rub hands together and shampoo as normal, rinse thoroughly.next slowly pour any brand of beer(8 0z is plenty) into hair and message into scalp completely then work outward being thorough at ends.rinse again. now go to the frig for one large tablespoon of REAL Mayonaise.again starting at scalp work in to out being as thorough as u can pay attention to ends.(this will help to bond your split ends) finally for the most vibrant shine imagenable simply crack open an egg and apply the same way. i am confident that your results (immediately) will stun you. now in its natural state, you might not want to change a thing, however if you do you have a clean canvas. and i do mean clean!! Let me know if you like it, or if this works for u. oh yeah, you can do this as often as you like.good luck and good looks Bocephusntn@yahoo.com

I've got a really good straightner but how can i get my thick hair straightened?

HAIR LIKE THIS :(

http://www.pinkraindrops.com/images/hair...

I've got a really good straightner but how can i get my thick hair straightened?

wash your hair then blow it dry and then straiten in by sections by section with a hair stationer until theres no curls. I did that this morning and my hair looks awsome!!

I've got a really good straightner but how can i get my thick hair straightened?

you probably have to do it in sections, and go over it more then once %26amp; manage it with hair spray.

I've got a really good straightner but how can i get my thick hair straightened?

Doing it in sections are indeed the key and most def with a high temp straightner.

But depending on the health of your hair, you may or may not get that "terrific" shine like the pic in your link.

I have naturally curly and VERY THICK hair, but don't get that "terrific" shine like in your pic, but none-the-less happy with results of my straightening.

I also don't need/like hairspray, and do dread humid days

I've got a really good straightner but how can i get my thick hair straightened?

my daughter has real thick curly hair, we use a flat iron and start from underneath the hair working our way through it ...you need to do small sections at a time dont use hairspray it will leave your hair stiff looking instead use a leave in conditioner that you apply before you straighten the hair, when you are done straightening use a good shine spray ...this works beautifully every time for her

I've got a really good straightner but how can i get my thick hair straightened?

If you have thick hair and you straighten it, It's not gonna look thin like that. You have to get it thinned out or razored at the salon. You should be happy with your thick hair

I've got a really good straightner but how can i get my thick hair straightened?

I use baby oil on sections when i straighten my hair.. my hair is big, super curly thick frizzy. you name it i got it.

but make sure to condition the tips real well because the oil may damage. and don't straighten very often.

but other then that.. i get my hair looking pin straight.

I've got a really good straightner but how can i get my thick hair straightened?

Use a good conditioner first (I use Crema by Terax $22). Then you need to put a heat protective and smoothing serum in your hair while its wet, and again before you straighten. THE BEST is Illuminating Serum Crystalli Liquid by AlfaParf ($28). It smooths, protects, and makes your hair SHINY. You also need to straighten your hair in sections, with a ceramic iron - invest in a CHI, you will not be disappointed. I use all 3 of these on my hair, and my hair is never frizzy, doesn't have split ends, and is always incredibly shiny.
