Has anyone gotten their hair straightened?

i talked to my hairdresser and she says it shouldnt harm my hair that badly, but i dont know. If you have, was it damaging? how long did it last? would you do it again?

Has anyone gotten their hair straightened?

Has anyone gotten their hair straightened?

Has anyone gotten their hair straightened?

just buy a straigtener.

i straigten my hair everyday

my hairs fine

it lasts about a day

Has anyone gotten their hair straightened?

yes it dries your hair it lasts a while you still need to blow dry it smooth

Has anyone gotten their hair straightened?

You can use a straightening iron. Look in to that Japanese straightening technique.

Has anyone gotten their hair straightened?

If your getting it permanently straightened it shouldnt be bad, I've done it and my hairs fine.

Has anyone gotten their hair straightened?

Are you talking about chemically straightening your hair? Or buying a straightner and doing it every day. I would just buy a chi straightener from Ulta salon with a garuntee so if it breaks you are garunteed a new one for free. I like ths because they are 100% ceramic and they won't wreck your hair and they make it so easy to do. There are so many different products that you can use in your hair every day that are better than chemically and permenatly straightening your hair.

Has anyone gotten their hair straightened?

get a ceramic one..less damaging.

Has anyone gotten their hair straightened?

WELL I DID WHEN I GOT MY HAIR PERMEND AND I DIDNT LIKE IT AFTER 6 MONTHS CU ZIT WAS FRIZZING SO I STRIGHTIN IT NOW ITS MOJOR SPLITS.BUT I DK CUZ I ALSO STRAIGHTIN IT EVERY DAY WITH A STRATING IRON BUT WHEN I FIRST STARAHIN IT IT WAS SOFT AND ITS LIKE HAIR DYE...

Has anyone had their hair straightened here? Did it work and how long did it last?

I've found my hair soon gets curly again no matter what I do to it. I'd like it straighter, but I find electric straighteners don't last more than a few hours. Anyone found something that lasts longer?

Has anyone had their hair straightened here? Did it work and how long did it last?

Whatever you do don't get it chemically straightened. All that does is dry out your hair and then you have a whole other problem on your hands.

Sounds to me like you need a professional type of flat iron. Chi is probably the best but costly at the same time. Try going to a Beauty Supply store. They generally sell good flat irons a bit cheapier. Also, there is a straightening spray that Regis Hair Salon makes that contains a starch. It helps to not only straighten your hair but keep it straight. When you've finished straightening your hair blast it with cool air from a hair dryer. This will help to set your style. Add some shine cream and a bit of hairspray and you should be good to go.

GHD...its a reli gud straightener

Has anyone had their hair straightened here? Did it work and how long did it last?

Yes I have...mine usually does not last that long...I am still trying to find a good straightener but mine must be really bad because my hair is non frizzy and just wavy

Has anyone had their hair straightened here? Did it work and how long did it last?

Getting your hair straightened is the same process as a perm only you are straightening it instead of adding curl. It works really great but when it grows out it can be really funky, plus its super damaging.

Has anyone had their hair straightened here? Did it work and how long did it last?

go to the salon and they can use a special shampoo that will keep it straight for like 2 months

Has anyone had their hair straightened here? Did it work and how long did it last?

There's a product called Silking that works sooo well. I almost died when I couldn't find it at any of my local stores but now I buy it online at www.mysilking .com try it. good luck

Has anyone had their hair straightened here? Did it work and how long did it last?

Have you been using cheaper Con Air straighteners, or top of the line deals?

I suggest you use a ceramic-plated straightener, like the Chi. It gives better results and doesn't damage your hair as much as metal-plated straighteners.

Any type of straightener will give you results usually until you go into EXTREME humidty or if you get it wet/damp.

If you're looking into permanent straightening, they have a techinque called Japanese Hair Straightening. Basically, they use different products and heat onto your hair to change it's structure and make it go straight. It's sort of like a curly perm, but the opposite. Everybody I've heard from that's had it done raves about how straight and silky their hair is. It can run kind of expensive and you want to make sure you absolutely want it done and you get it done by a liscenced professional. Do your research - there's tons of articles on Google about it.

Has anyone had their hair straightened here? Did it work and how long did it last?

get a remmington wet to straight then use pantene pro v style classic i am the same way but that works for me it lasts me till i shower

Has anyone had their hair straightened here? Did it work and how long did it last?

Well it really depends on your hair type, some people use Revlon and Conair work best for them, and some people buy the expensive ones like GHD, Chi or Sedu. Try buying another hair straightener, a heat activated shampoo conditioner and spray, maybe that'll help your hair from curling. The revlon 1 inch ceramic hair straightener works for my hair, and it's super kinky and wavy. If no cheap ones work for you, buy an expensive one or leave your curls :)

Has anyone had their hair straightened here? Did it work and how long did it last?

depends what hair you have?...just be careful with what you put on it!!!- get yourself some ghd's and heat protection stuff!!! no need for all them chemicals!!!

Are there any ways to NATURALLY straighten hair?

I know this question has been asked before, but those answers don't help...=(....

I'm tryin' to let my hair grow out, but it's really really REALLY curly and it looks like crap (an afro) when it's not straight.....and me and my mom constantly argue cuz neither of us has time to straighten it with one of those straightener things.....So is there any way to NATURALLY make it straight? Ya'know like something you can do that DOESN'T involve plugging in electrical cords???????????????????????????????????... plz help.....

Are there any ways to NATURALLY straighten hair?

straighting iron?!?

Are there any ways to NATURALLY straighten hair?

If you don't want to put a relaxer in your hair, just press it.

Are there any ways to NATURALLY straighten hair?

i wish i had that solution too, maybe you could get a thinner one besides the kind that are fat, i don't know of anyways, i can were a hat and it will work, but then you have hat hair

Are there any ways to NATURALLY straighten hair?

No.

Why do you think we all buy the electrical cord, 800+ hair gel, foams and straighteners for it?

The only way I can think of that doesn't actually involve plugging anything in is definately NOT "natural": getting your hair straightened at a salon. That's about the equivilant of getting a perm, only, you know, the opposite.

Are there any ways to NATURALLY straighten hair?

sorry i don't think there is any other way then a

straighting iron.

Are there any ways to NATURALLY straighten hair?

Hi Ya

The only thing you can do is have it relaxed or permed straight. This will last a while. If you do this at home remember to take a skin test 24hrs before applying and read all instruction carefully. Best bet go to a salon it may cost more however consider how long it will last.

Hope this helps

Are there any ways to NATURALLY straighten hair?

well kind of

theres this japanese straightening chemical. a hairdresser puts in your hair, you wait for half an hour or so and wash out. Its meant to keep your hair straight for 6 months but ive never tried it so i dont know.

but in America its fairly pricey, maybe $200???? but in Taiwan (where my cousin had it done) it was 鎷?5

so you might have to look around

not sure if that helped or not

Are there any ways to NATURALLY straighten hair?

My hair has a lot of volume so straightening is difficult for me too. I've used SunSilk and it worked. It doesn't straighten your hair completly but it makes your hair die down,er, be more managable. Hope this helps.

Are there any ways to NATURALLY straighten hair?

no not without chemicals or a flat iron

Are there any ways to NATURALLY straighten hair?

wait, your mom straightens your hair for you?!!? Did I read that right?

theres no "natural" ways to straighten it. No magic pill. You can get a process call thermal reconditioning to straighten it but its expensive.

But honestly, I think guys who put that much time into their hair come off as a little too into themselves/superficial/feminine. Just chop it off or embrace your fro.

....You can try sticking your finger in an electrical socket. that works in the cartoons.

Where can I get some holding spray for straightened hair?

Not too expensive. But my hair is very curly and frizzy and as soon as it's straightened, all I have to do is go outside and its curled at the end. Any ideas?

Thanks x

Where can I get some holding spray for straightened hair?

Where can I get some holding spray for straightened hair?

u shud put normal hair spray on it an soon it will get better or go 2 boots dey ave a lot of gd hair tings

Where can I get some holding spray for straightened hair?

beauty shop

Where can I get some holding spray for straightened hair?

omg. don't use holding spray! that stuff dries out hair cuticles.

use hair serum that contains silicone.

(like Frizz-ease, fairly cheap at your local drugstore)

apply a dab of it onto the palms of your hands,

massage it into your damp hair

then set it in place by running your hair through the ceramic straightener once to completely dry you hair

your hair will stay straight the entire day, no matter what the weather is outside.

the silicone coats the hair so that it doesn't absorb excess moisture from the surroundings (ie: damp, rainy days) and protects it from drying out under heat.

hope this helps ;)

(i do this every day before heading to work, so it's tried tested and true!)

How can someone with curly short hair straighten it without making it wavy or fuzzy or damage?

I have short curly hair and i want it straight for good. You know people have straight hair can get a perm and make their hair curly. Can I do the same with Curly but make it straight?

How can someone with curly short hair straighten it without making it wavy or fuzzy or damage?

Well, you can chemically straighten your hair, but, I would caution that you may not get your curls back when you want them. Not knowing HOW short your short is... if it's long enough to pull back or put up, use product that is formulated to straighten and smooth hair, and blow dry using a large round brush, followed by a flat iron.

If it's shorter than that... try one of those hot air brush wands that looks like a curling iron. That always works for me on the rare occassions I don't want to celebrate my curls. :-)

How can someone with curly short hair straighten it without making it wavy or fuzzy or damage?

xhf

How can someone with curly short hair straighten it without making it wavy or fuzzy or damage?

well if u really want to, u can go get the "japanese hair straightening" one. it makes ur hair super straight and slick!

however, ur curly roots might grow out after, making it curly on top and straight below. that's why u have to straighten it( touch up) every 6 months or ur hair will look funny.

but if u want soft manageable hair while it lasted... go for japanese one...

How can someone with curly short hair straighten it without making it wavy or fuzzy or damage?

why???? enjoy your lucious locks...

How can someone with curly short hair straighten it without making it wavy or fuzzy or damage?

the best thing is to get your hair straighted.... there is a product thats about 30 bucks at walgreens from john friedia (sp?) and it lasts about 3 months...but you will always have to do something, everytime your hair grows in it will be curly. the only thing that i have heard of being able to change your hair texture is to shave it off...but thats no guarantee

How can someone with curly short hair straighten it without making it wavy or fuzzy or damage?

Use a good Hair Serum, John Frieda makes one for eliminating Frizz, Frizz Ease Collection. If youa re using a straightening Iron, use a good conditioner to help protect your hair.

How can someone with curly short hair straighten it without making it wavy or fuzzy or damage?

yesss...you can go for pressing of your hair..though its not permanent n lasts only till u wash your hair.

But it can be a gud option in order to avoid any exensive or chemical treatment.

How can someone with curly short hair straighten it without making it wavy or fuzzy or damage?

you can get them chemically straightened which may last from 3-5 months or use the straightening iron for short term solutions. however in either case, be prepared for some damage to hair. doing this repeatedly makes the hair rough and weak. if you use straightening iron, use thermal protection lotions before using the iron.

How do i straighten my hair permanently?

my hair is really short basically a bobcut .by nature i have straight hair but of late its a little puffy n gettin off shape .i wanna get my hair super straight permanently an at home .can u plz tell me the steps and methods of straightening at home along with the apratus n chemicals. thankzzzzz.

How do i straighten my hair permanently?

strighten it every day... it worked for me....

How do i straighten my hair permanently?

You should use a straightening relaxer. There are so many to choose from. If you get the kind in a box, it will have all that you need in order to do the at home application.

How do i straighten my hair permanently?

relax it. you can buy relaxing kits from the shops but your better off going to a salon . .. if its done badly it can break your hair

How do i straighten my hair permanently?

its not permanent, but you can buy it in a box off the shelf in beauty shops like boots or superdrug.

How do i straighten my hair permanently?

You could see a specialist about a relaxor, but I wouldn't reccomend doing it at home. At hoe products usually aren't the best to do, can cause more damage than wanted. Buy a nice straightener- one that will have adjustable settings. Good luck!

How do i straighten my hair permanently?

Its basically the same process as perming your hair.

you are changing the structure of your hair chemically.

It's a better idea to get it done professionally as you could damage your hair.

If cost is the problem then contact a hairdressers and find out about getting it done by a trainee.)at least then it will be supervised)

How do i straighten my hair permanently?

don't do it!!

i tried this with a relaxing kit and all it does is make your hair a frizzy texture, like if you had it permed and then let it dry and brushed it. it would be less damaging to straighten it everyday, i hav a cream by tigi, its called after party in a pink tube, you can pick it up on ebay and it really makes your hair feel silkier and smoother when you have straightened it, give it a try x

How do i straighten my hair permanently?

You can get a permenant straightening kit from boots which will make it permenantly straight (well.. for a long time, anyway).

How do i straighten my hair permanently?

I HAVE DONE MINE AT HOME I JUST COMBED PERM SOLUTION ON IT IT WORKS FINE PLENTY OF CONDITIONER ON

Is Re-bonding of hair safe????

This is a hair straightening procedure also known as Thermal Re-conditioning. I heard it is quite popular in the Far East %26amp; slowly gaining acceptance worldwide. Are they any drawbacks? When is the right age to get it done?

Is Re-bonding of hair safe????

Yes, it is safe. No drawbacks and you can start from probably 14 yrs old. It's quite expensive though. Ranges from $140 to $400
